It's quite obvious that some people are offended that some other people are sapiosexuals. They have some reasons as to why they are so offended. I read an article this morning in which the writer doesn't seem pleased with those who are sapiosexuals. The reasons given for disliking sapiosexuals are:

(1) There is really no need to identify as a sapiosexual since everyone must be looking for a smart partner: I believe there is a difference between a sapiosexual and a non-sapiosexual as the former places much more emphasis on intelligence. So, it's necessary to identify as a sapiosexual if you are one.

(2) Sapiosexuals make it seem choosing a partner is "solely" based on intelligence: This is a misconception as as a sapiosexual, I choose you, first of all, on the basis of how intelligent you are, but physical appearance(pulchritude) is also key. It's not like I will choose you just because you're intelligent even if your physical appearance is nothing to write home about. You must be beautiful too.
