Dem no gree oh, dem talk say it fit implicate me because civil service rule says the person must prepare to leave within 6 months or thereabout, in fact, the letter of request that I dropped to that effect was returned to me, and that's the only thing delaying my form from being sent.
I dunno if it might suffice if I put my employment , confirmation and promotion letters and recent pay slip...

Can they provide you a letter citing the bold? or can they write an employment reference letter to the nurses board stating that as per the civil rule (they quote where the info came from), this letter is only valid for 6 months?

I was honestly going to suggest that you send employment/contract letter and payslips with your application. Make sure the payslip has the same name of the organization as printed on your employment letter

This is just ridiculous. I know some nurses who left from Nigerian and getting a reference letter from their employer wasn't such a big deal

Difficult to get in but whatever you do, focus on WA. That's the oil and gas state

I'll have my eyes on WA as well and try to do further research on the state. Thanks for your contributions and insights.

hello everyone. Please i need your advice.

I have lodged my application for visa 189 and recently got an offer of admission for a research degree. Also, I had answered "yes" to question 39 of form 1221. Can anyone please advise if attaching the offer letter will aid or hinder my visa 189 application?

Thanks

It will not make any difference in the application. You don't have to attach it.

It will be rough initially..but I promise you, it will be worth it. Australia truly is an amazing country cool. Oh forget about racism. There are fair here (speaking for myself). Where I work now, I am the first black person to have the position I have now. I didn't get to where I am now in a day...but I got here eventually. I have a sibling who is a Geologist and is currently holding a senior managerial role at Rio Tinto, he is also black.. like you and I.

It is well kiss

Hi, WellEndowed. Can u pls provide me with contact for menial jobs while the aged care training is on. Thanks.

I haven't seen anyone talk about WA like this in a long time. On the student visa thread, they all talk about Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane.

Perth is a good place. I have lots of friends who made good money from working in disability and aged care. There are also lots of opportunities in construction.

Did you always live in Perth? Or did you at any time live in Regional WA?

Btw, I studied at Curtin Uni...

I honestly never struggled for jobs or to pay my fees (one of the benefits of being the last born in my family. That was taken care of). I didn't even have a car initially. My brother used to take me to work and pick me up. For school I made "'convenient' friends and would hitch a ride or two or three, or... cool

I honestly think there are more jobs in WA than any state in Australia.

I was there as a student, I think the challenge I might have experienced was figuring out how to get my PR. I always advise students to choose courses that have a minimum of 2 years duration. You stand a better chance at getting your PR that way.

There is no doubt about WA wages but you need to let people know the kind of job you're talking about. Am currently living in Sydney and I have friends who are struggling to get jobs in the Engineering field in WA. The highest paying jobs in WA are Aged care, Nursing, Medical professions and all related Health professions. But if you're looking for where to settled in immediately as an engineering student and get a reasonable paying job, you better think of Melbourne and Sydney as you first choice. Engineering students in WA are sometimes forced to go in health professions so as to get jobs because staying at home will not pay bills. No matter where you are in Australia, you will definitely get something doing and I don't think there are more jobs in WA than any other state, what kind of job are you using as a yard stick?

I never said people aren't looking for jobs. I said WA have more jobs and not just that, they pay well. Even health care professionals are paid crap in NSW and Victoria(I know this because the pay offer I received from these states was nothing compared to what I got in WA). Even QLD offered more than NSW and Victoria. I am not just talking about health care jobs in WA. You do realise that WA is the oil and gas state and construction is good as well.

I advised someone here about considering regional areas, get the experience you want and move on. The problem with the young ones are they focus mainly on cities where the competition is high and if you DO NOT HAVE THE EXPERIENCE THAT THEY NEED YOU DO NOT STAND A CHANCE and this applies to health care professionals as well

There is this Zimbabwean I know in Perth. Married to a miner who works at Newman. I know her because she is friends with my sister inlaw. After studies my sister inlaw relocated to regional area (she was on a student visa and needed to work towards getting her PR, the Zimbabwean was already a PR). SIL got a job about 5 hours south of Perth in a hospital full time work. Zimbabwean applied for graduate programs but couldn't get in so she joined Mediserve Nursing Agency instead while waiting for a full time job. SIL worked in regional for 18 months and within that 18 months got her PR then she applied for a job at Royal Perth hospital (because it is under the same WACHs) she got the job and moved back to Perth. The Zim woman still couldn't get a full time job.

My point is there is more competition in cities than in regional areas. For a newbie or for those without experience, you almost do not stand a chance because people with more years of experience than you are competing with you. I can only speak for Perth and in the health care field, before an employer will sponsor you for PR, You must have yearsssssssss of experience in that field or lucky enough to find am employer who is desperate(now in a city filled with people with experience, how lucky will you be to find a desperate employer?). Some regional WA would however accept a newbie with 0 experience as long as that person is willing to stay there and work

How many years experience do you have as a nurse. If it is over 5 years, please consider Masters in Nursing (Nurse practitioner). You will get paid loads after graduation. It is insane

No I did not always live in Perth, I have lived in regional towns more than any city in Australia.

You see my brother who worked in the mines lived in regional WA and me wanting to stay close to family followed. cool That guy worked regional like crazy and never looked for a job. He used to tell me a story. He did his first degree in Nigeria (studied Geology). Then moved to OZ for masters. At the time he was lucky enough to do his masters at the uni branch in regional area. After masters he got a job in the mines (but never worked underground). His colleagues he started off with in Perth, some left OZ and went back home to Naija (they wanted to work for the likes of Chevron, Woodside e.t.c), they couldn't get the job plus employers to sponsor them. The competition was too much.

So when I got to OZ he advised me to look at regional area and I did and it paid off. He has just finally relocated his family to Melbourne and still does his FIFO work. With the experience I gained in regional WA, let me catch any city employer that won't give me work tongue
