If we say buy original even if it is 2-3 years old yoy guys will say you want the latest so deal with it Op.

The dealer should have an agreement with Tecno or their rep which in this case is carlcare.

I buy all my devices from Slot because I dont like stories like this. When you buy from authorised dealers, things like replacements are done easily. I cant buy a phone from slot, use for 5 days, it develops a manufacturer defect and you tell me to go to carlcare. Except carlcare is closer to me, I will likely tell you off

Anything can happen in the 5 whole days of usage and believe me I'm sure something happened.

Defects are the reason there is calcare... I had an issue with my gionee m2 marathon when I bought it, it goes blank and comes back on after about 2days usage....It was fixed at the calcare.

You don't expect a dealer to just change the phone when such issues can be fixed.... It's painful but hey, the dealer wasn't the manufacturer.

RAM: 1gig
ROM: 8gig
processor: Quad-core
OS:android 6 mashmallow.
I was advised to take it to the nearest Tecno office but i insisted that the dealer must change it for me. This issue had transpired some brawl between us. Pls what chances do i have to get a healthy phone with no defect

Man u are in Nigeria not one European country. Didn't u read the terms in the receipt b/4 u sign it.
In case u didn't read it, it say, goods sold and received in good condition are not returnable after payment.

op I would have advised u blacklist the name of company selling the phone for tecno . I had almost d same issue many ago wen I bought my first adroid phone which was tecno. No network ,hotness of the phone even though I am not using it ,the battery discharge on time and in the end I took it back to where I bought it the , u was told it was there fault that every 20 phones they buy two would fault . Every attempt to get a replacement from them prove abortive . Please blacklist the abeg .

Going blank might just need a new ROM flash in OR just a software upgrade not necessarily a "repair" as you put it. When an issue arise, we should look for solutions not quoting law's. If it's something that can't be fixed entirely it would be a different ball game but in my eyes this is minor.

Minor, major or whatever, do you know entire models are recalled for having less serious issues?

If we continue to bend over for these companies, we stand the risk of losing out totally. He did not pay whatever price he did for a new phone to get a defective one.
