Flying officer is not the lowest rank... Pilot officer is.

As a regular graduating from NDA, you're commissioned first as a pilot officer.. And then after six months, a flying officer.

Through DSSC, you're commissioned as a flying officer.

No more arguments on this!
.

Please what's the probable salary of a flying officer

. You sound as if having a first class is an automatic immunity to not having an NYSC discharge certificate.

If not for the 'special' in the recruitment advert which I guess is because of the at least 2.1 criteria. The lowest requirement is normally 2.2

..and to your question... Yes.. You can apply.. So long as you can provide your NYSC discharge certificate when it's required of you

Well.. If you have been following their enlistment process in the past, you'd note that this year's enlistment is different.

They tagged it 'special DSSC enlistment'

They require a minimum of 2.1.. As against the normal 2.2 minimum.
...and the required departments are selected from the normal wide array of departments.

Lets all still try it.

I don't seems to understand the way they intend to go about this recruitment exercise. Zonal enlistment exercise will take place from 1-8 July 2017 which means there won't be any form of aptitude test. Mode of shortlisting candidates will be determined by them. From the last exercise I witnessed I just zero my mind on air force

Yeah,...the last year's zonal enlistment exercise was a sham. They made people travel from far and wide only to screen their credentials and still selected only eight names from each state for interview using a procedure or process that no one understands.
It was a heart breaking experience!

That of the army is far better, names are shortlisted straight away from after application and called to camp for interview where the required number is finally shortlisted for training.

however, for this year, NAF has stated that writing materials should be brought along to zonal enlistment centers for aptitude test.

Lets hope it doesn't take the same dimension as last year's. undecided

I know, but usually there used/supposed to be an exam that will qualify candidates for the selection board and usually the number is not always much. It was last year that the whole thing changed.

Only now conduct aptitude test before interview. Airforce will only call for certificates screening at the zonal level before shortlisting for interview
