Hello good people of Nigeria and beyond. Please I have a question.

I plan to do the medical checks on Friday and the hospital said CIC wil get the result in about 10 days time. The challenge is that I don't want to submit the eAPR until mid July because of POF.

So, is it a problem if CIC gets our medical result before I submit the eAPR at all or must we submit all our documents before the medical result gets to them?

Kindly assist anyone please.

Happy Sunday to everyone, am new here and i am reading the thread from page 0. can anyone tell me the difference of the CRS calculator on the canadian webpage where the minimum point is 67points and the one used in the draw that gives 400 above points.

with my IELTS, i got 69points using the calculator similar to the one on first page https://www.visasavenue.com/canada-federal-skilled-points-calculator/ and also with this calculator https://www.canadavisa.com/comprehensive-ranking-score-calculator.html
i got 462points.

Please house, can someome confirm that treasury bills is accepted for POF? If yes, why do people still do fixed deposit when they know they will get better returns from Treasury bills. Please answers needed

Secondly, someone printed her bank statement, submitted and withdrew the money dats after. Because according to her, banks don't gve CIC exact amount in ur acc, they only confirm to CIC its ur acc and that indeed you had that amount of money on that said date. Said her friend did that n got PR. Bankers and experienced fam members in the house, please kindly confirm this.

The first one that gave you 69 points is to check whether you are eligible to create an EE profile and subsequently for PR.
The second score is what you get when you create your EE profile and that puts you in the pool, where you wait for the draw.

Honestly the CIC website gives an even better explanation. Try to check it out. You could start here. http://www.cic.gc.ca/English/immigrate/skilled/index.asp

Hello guyz,

This POF part is my major concern. Might b difficult raising d required fund but possible to get it into my account, print out my account statement then withdraw(maybe some parts i.e. d one borrowed which might be up to 50% of the total amount) to give back to d owner probably d same day. Do they always contact banks to know present account balance at d time they are treating applications? If they do, is anything wrong with them discovering about 50% of the required fund in d account considering d fact dat it's expected for one to continue doing his/her business with his money while waiting for visa. What do u guyz think about dis?

Also, must d letter from the bank necessarily include average balance over six month cos average balance might b extremely low for an account with little amount of money over d last six months despite d last minute deposit of a large sum of money just before statement is printed since they are asking for average.

Still no response to dis! Anyone has something to say?

No it is not a problem...However, why would you want to do your medicals in May, when you intend submitting your app in July...It is generally advised that because your Medical is valid for 1year and your Visa will be issued to expire at the expiry date of your medicals (or passport whichever is closer), always do your medical last or as close as possible to your submission date.

Treasury Bills is as okay as FD, I used TBills as part of my POF...I understand your concern about returns, but i believe people are concerned with what has been working and more popular which is FD.

As per your second question, Yes your bank will confirm the authenticity of your statement if CC request for it...but they will never confirm your current balance beyond what you supplied CIC (i doubt the CIC will even ask for your current balance)...However, CIC can call for your updated POF at any point during the process...which is where you will enter 1chance.

Ditto for @bigbroda

The problem you will likely face when you withdraw that money after printing your statement is that sometimes before passport request, you may be asked to print your current Statement.
The letter mustn't show your average balance, you can omit that but in place, add your 6 months statement.
Hope you have an explanation for the sudden bulk deposit?

In the case where a spouse transfers the POF, does he need to specify the source of the money transferred in the supporting letter?

Currently waiting for my police certificate for UK.
Thinking of my LOE for POF.

1. Not printed my POF, cos I want the cash to stay a while, at least a month before I print my bank statement.
Is this safe?

2. After completing the form, can someone else login and make the payment for me?
Yes to both questions

Thank you for the info. Can you kindly expatiate on "previously submitted application"?

zandora:

Lol. I was temporarily AWOL cheesy

Yes they do check for duplicate profiles but they don't go into details to check for any discrepancies. In my own case, I initially created a profile and then I realised that I made a few errors and I used a wrong NOC so I deleted the profile and created a new one. When I requested for my GCMS notes later, I saw that they wrote that I had another profile which was deleted and they even had all the info that was on that profile.

So my 2 cents is that they'll only go into details to check for any discrepancies if you've previously submitted an application.

Please I require a detailed response and most safest option concerning my POF.

I currently own a current and savings account with GT bank. The current account has been my salary account for about 6 months (savings was previously the salary account). Additionally, I got a loan of about 5mil from GT bank in december which was paid into my current account. Monthly and yearly deductions occur on this account to settle the bank loan taken.

With this is in view what account can I tender as my POF?

I have the option of paying off the balance of the loan (3.75mil) before presenting this as my POF. The problem with this is that i will need about 8million to clear off the loan and have sufficient funds to present as my POF. Can this suffice? Even after clearing the loan as my account will show that a loan was just cleared recently?

Another option will be to use my wife's account (savings). The challenge is that there has been no sufficient flow of funds in her account as she has not been working in the Last 6 months. Her mum though intend to transfer some sum into her account as a gift. Can her savings account in this instance be used for POF?

Based on the circumstance described above please kindly advice on the safest and most viable option.

Humbly Awaiting your responses. Thanks

Is your spouse going to be the PA? If yes, u can use use her account, if no u can't use hers. However, IMO, u can transfer the money to her account, then she transfers it to the no loan account which u will tender as PoF. And she will write a LOE. But the money has to be there for a while before submission.

More suggestions will be welcomed
