Thanks for the link, anyone in the house with advice for a dentist?

Gymme:
I know little about Foreign Trained Dentist in Canada. There is no specific information about getting ECA from the licensing body as far as i know. You may want to phone/email a province (https://www.cda-adc.ca/cdacweb/en/about_CDAC/related_organizations/) about the requirements and process.

I thought it's the other way round

Bros PNP only gives u 600points wen u get d nomination which u can now use for EE to get ITA. So if ur CRS is high enough to get ITA straight why would you want to go through PNP wahala.

Congrats on receiving FBI PCC finally. Please how long did it take you to get it? I see 8 to 10 weeks processing time on their website? Did you get it earlier than that?

Thanks. It actually took 8 weeks and 6 days for the mail to arrive at the US address although the date on it shows it was ready at 8 weeks.

Hi Zandora,

Thank you for the encouragement.

Please I need your advice concerning paying the application fee when submitting the ITA. All my payment attempts have been failing since two weeks now. I have called my bank but they confirmed that nothing is wrong with the card.

@MummyJgirls have you submitted your application yet? Did your payment go through?

@dupyshoo, @Babachi, @40manlappy Please, your contributions are all welcome.

Have you tried Chinnie4Jesus's suggestion? It could be that your account balance is not sufficient to consummate the transaction. Please provide feedback.

Hello!
Please does anyone know how long it takes for WAEC to send a written verification to WES so they can begin my evaluation?
Also, how long before the request from wES is delivered to WAEC?
Re: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program Connect Here by bighead2: 1:56am On May 20, 2017
In my case, it took roughly 1month for WAEC to receive the verification request (coz WES used normal courier to send it). Afterwards, i had to literally follow up with WAEC, and everything was over within a week after WAEC received the request.
However, verifying WAEC is so so unnecessary, but since u have started shaaaa, just finish it

Hello Everyone,

I will like to know if there will be additional point if my spouse take an IETLS exam. I am the one applying and I know that I have to take the exam but will there be additional point if my wife takes this exam too.

Also, does my wife need to validate credential with WES

Thanks

Hi Zandora, Good to have you back! I checked your last seen online status and it was December 2016, I was like she is AWOL! cheesy

I tried sending you a mail.

Kindly assist with the quoted.

Thank you

Lol. I was temporarily AWOL cheesy

Yes they do check for duplicate profiles but they don't go into details to check for any discrepancies. In my own case, I initially created a profile and then I realised that I made a few errors and I used a wrong NOC so I deleted the profile and created a new one. When I requested for my GCMS notes later, I saw that they wrote that I had another profile which was deleted and they even had all the info that was on that profile.

So my 2 cents is that they'll only go into details to check for any discrepancies if you've previously submitted an application.

Yes she needs to if and only if u want to get points under spouse section which obviously increases your total score. The maximum point for spouse credentials evaluation is 10 while dat of IELTS/english language proficiency is 20. If u think without this 30(which she is likely not to get all) u can beat d EE cut off then it's not necessary cos it saves energy, time and money. U can use to CRS calculator to have an idea of what u would score with and without wifey's IELTS and credentials evaluation.

All da best!

Hi Zandora,
Good to have you here after such a long time. Please I would like to find out one or two things from you. Which city exactly are you at? What's your job description at the bank? And how good is the pay? Hope I'm not asking too much. My experience is in banking as well but I'm thinking of going for nursing when we move. My husband is an Accountant so he definitely has to get all the Canadian Certifications. A lot of people have been telling us Ontario infact Toronto to be precise but an Uncle of ours advised us against it. He says cost of living is too high in Toronto, that it's very hard to save. He suggested a smaller city. I dnt know what is obtainable in these smaller cities? Will one even be able to get something decent. What is the cost of living where you reside? You could just give us an overview of life in Canada. I'm sure one or two people will learn a thing or two from it. Thanks

Yeah. The verification is pointless. WAEC sent it so what's the need asking for another verification? Just hope it doesn't take so long

Firstly I'm in Toronto and my job description centers around fraud. The pay is okay, nothing fantastic but this will significantly increase once I get a certification which I intend to pursue. You do know that to be a nurse you have to obtain the qualifications first which can take a while. Therefore my advice would be that once you get here you apply for a job in banking which you already have experience in and then attend evening nursing classes or study so you can at least make some money. Yes Toronto is quite expensive but to be honest I don't see any major difference in costs between Toronto and any other cities in Ontario except you want to move to another province. The fact is 80% of the finance jobs are in Toronto so you're better of living somewhere around there. You could rent a basement apartment in a city just outside Toronto, say Scarborough or Mississauga, that'll be considerably cheaper. As for living in a smaller city far from Toronto, goodluck finding a job!

Life in Canada is really good, at least for me. I've lived in the UK for many years and I can confidently say I prefer Canada to the UK. The people here are really friendly and you'll very hardly ever experience racism especially if you reside around the GTA. Also you always hear about how cold the winter is in Canada but you'll never hear about the summer. The summer here is really hot (in Ontario)! Like Naija hot!! This is unlike other cold countries like the the UK where you experience similar weather throughout the season. Also in the summer there are a million and one things to do. Living here isn't bad at all, but that's from my experience.

Hi, I have two account with GT bank and I am using a fixed deposit from my current account with statement of about 25pages. Should I include my savings account too or just ignore the savings account statement. I want to be able to meet the 4MB size.

@zandora

Thanks for sharing. It has been said that Canadian employers value Canadian qualifications and certifications.

Once PPR lands, are there certifications that one can initiate from here before landing? What certifications would you recommend for a person whose experience is in banking?

Add the savings account and like the poster above me said, reduce the file size online. Don't forget to scan them in colour though.

I just want to apologise to you all for the silence. You know how stressful bank jobs are and by the time I get home I don't even feel like doing anything else except sleeping. Also, for some reason I was finding it very difficult to login because I couldn't remember my login details.

For everyone who has received their PR's I just want to say a huge congratulations! For those of you who are still on the journey don't worry, you'll get there sooner than you know and in the end it'll be worth it.

Oh and one more thing, if you're already here in Canada and are still job hunting and your experience is in the financial services industry, let me know so I can give you some interview tips and tricks. Trust me, many of the interview questions they ask are constantly repeated.

Good luck!

Nice to have you back Zandora, all the best.
