I met my girlfriend 3 year's ago , and I really loves everything about her since then till now because she always abide my decisions and very cool person like the type of future's partner I'm praying for .

When I introduced her to my mum last year . She was so excited and prayed for the two of us , but she called me after a week later and told me that I can't marry that girl at all and when I asked her the reason why , she said she was told by her pastor and I must follow what she said without any question again because I'm just alone from her , but I disagree with her and continue my life with that bae thinking that I may get chance to convince my mum but not

The problem now is I'm in love with this bae seriously but my mum insisted that if I must marry that girl , is either for me to forget her as a mother OR after her death


I'm planning to marry next year but I don't really know what to do now

Well I am not here to condemn your mother or the Pastor, but this praying here and praying there of a thing has help to hold many relationship and also scatter it, I once told a friend who was so so proud of her pastor to be the best when it comes to chosen a life partner, instead of arguing with her I told her I would like to test her pastor, I ask her to write my name, two of her brothers name and a friend name, after writing those names I ask her to take it to her pastor and tell him that the four of us are asking her out, that which of us should she choose or go for, after everything she came back that my name and her blood brother's name was chosen that but the man emphasis on his brother that he is the most qualified to be her husband after that scenario her mentality change for good, If truly you believe in your pastor and you want him to pray about your future partner put his faith to test first by writing all the names of your girlfriend or boyfriend to the man of God to pray about it, (let's say your boyfriend has 4 names Segun, John, Akin, Bayo) write all his name and take it to the man of God if he is truly a man of God he will tell you he is seeing the same person and might even go as far as asking you that why are you testing his faith. I did not write this for us to disobey our parents but I want us to know that it is not everyone that call me Lord that will make the Kingdom of God. many divorcee today were once told they are heavenly match by some fake man of God so let us reason with our eyes widely open.

Better marry the person you love now, than marry someone else to please your mother and thereafter be in a lifetime of crises.
You know how marriages these days are, you can't afford to make a mistake.
Your mother's reasons don't sound cogent enough and more like a third party opinion
