Truth is we don't need that much processors on phones. IPhones have a dual core and faster than most Android phones.

XZ premium isn't out yet...that I know.
The XZ is probably what the op means. Nevertheless, the difference between the XZ and the premium is very marginal at best.

Apart from that, I'll let you know that the differences between octa core and other phones I have used are nothing mind blowing

Lol. I wondered too. Even my Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 with 4G RAM, 64G ROM, Octacore 2.0GHz, 625 Snapdragon, etc, has some, if not most (battery, storage, processor, camera) of the specs listed up there. Meanwhile, this is just a Xiaomi midranger not to talk of the toprangers.

To cap it all, they are more pocket-friendly.

According to reviews, Xiaomi mi 6 should be the number 1 on the list. It outperformed S8 in that department.

Putting Gionee without Xiaomi made it ........ list.

Go back to your drawing board and read more about phones hardware.

@OP no phone with Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 series of chipset or lower should be on that list when there are many high end powerful 800 series chipset phones out there.

You sef should read more about phone hardware. Only Snapdragon 810 and 835 be octa-core. And we all know the issues that made 810 unpopular

dont say iPhone is faster than most Android phone you say some not most. and that some is the low ends once and again why you may think iPhone is faster that Android all apps and games that run on iPhone are build to the specification of the phone that's why you don't adjust or tamper with what ios or Apple gives you but Android is an open source.
