modik:
One thing is guaranteed as benefit to all ND federating states under Biafra:

Resource Control.

This is a mirage in Nigeria.
and how sure are you that it will be done after the country is Divided?

I understand wer you are driving at but I'm not from Yoruba tribe neither I'm I a northerner
He is not saying you are Yoruba or Hausa, he saying you shouldn't lump all tribes in the South South under "Niger delta" and claim to be speaking for them. You should speak for your own tribe and leave the rest of us out of it. You mentioned my state delta, I am from Iselle uku and I believe in the Biafran struggle and so do many of my Anioma brothers so nobody appointed anybody to speak for the whole of the Niger delta. If you are ijaw, itsekiri, urhobo, efik or whatever, speak for your own tribe and leave others out of it

Henrybright:
that's exactly my thoughts but most of this Igbo guys thinks I'm a Northerner or a Yoruba. Because I'm very sure there will be serious problem after Nigeria is divided between the remaining Niger Delta states and the Igbo states
I have observed that there are two classes of people calling for Biafra.
(1) Those who hope to benefit directly {appointments etal}. These one are a minority.
(2) Those who are being lead by their noses. Majority of the Nairaland and street warriors fall into this class.

I really don't know how 60% of igbos make up niger Delta when it is only Abia that is recognised Niger Delta state
Go through your Google screengrab again, you will see Imo there as part of the Niger delta. They are also included in NDDC. There also Igbos in some parts of delta, rivers and akwa ibom states. The fact that you don't know this just shows that you either don't know the history of the Niger delta or maybe you are not a Niger deltan and are claiming to be one
Re: What Will Niger Deltans Really Gain From Being Part Of Biafra by Develpeast: 12:17am On May 31, 2017
I need a southerner who is not emotional to engage me in an argument on why they should or shouldn't be part of Biafra.

I believe even if the status quo will be the same, there are still going to gain more from a biafra than Nigeria.

kind you please tell me the Igbos in Akwa Ibom state. The place and even if your saying is correct, how is Abia, and IMO population make up 60% of the remaining Niger Delta population. Are you saying Abia and IMO are so populated that they make up 60% of the population of Niger Delta?

If you are deep thinker and you reason things logically, please what do you gain in Nigeria that you will lose in Biafra?

Another Afonja claiming to be Niger Deltan.

Tomorrow the same man will claim to be from Ebonyi or Ijaw or Urhobo.

Afonja, a terrible group of ugly liars.

what is there exactly to learn, that part if igbo is in Cross River?? Why was it not written that part of cross River or Akwa ibom is in igbo.. So because states share boundaries it automatically means part of the tribe is in those places. They listed all the states said to be under biafra in ur link and they said Igbo are in all d states. Which I'm sure was written by an Igbo man to justify his writing. Tell me a particular LGA in Cross River state that speaks igbo

I won't even argue with you on this anymore. Just an advice. Niger delta consists of so many tribes with different ancestry and aspirations. So please nobody should presume to speak for the whole of the Niger delta. Speak for your own tribe or people and let others speak for theirs

I'm really curious to know what we the Nicer Delta really stand to gain from the Igbo states, or will it be a case of the current Nigeria were all the money is coming from Nicer Delta to develop Nigeria. Will it be the Case in Biafra?? What exactly will the Igbo states bring to the Niger Deltans?? States like Rivers, Bayelsa, Akwa Ibom, Cross River, Delta
is that a writing mistake or you wish the delta to be more nicer to youhuh?....

no problem,we can be nicer to igbos,,but we dont want biafra,,,,,period....

One thing is certain, you guys will have functional seaports and make enough money to make oil look like a joke. Nobody will keep Warri, Port Harcourt and other ports at sub-operational capacity and give opaque reasons why Lagos port must be the only useful port

Meritocracy... Education will now be emphasised and fully integrated making choice in every facet of human endeavour.

Fiscal Regime... Disadvantaged states like Bayelsa that owes workers backlogs will now have much more money for both capital and current expenditures. Imagine collapsing the yearly budgetary derivatives of states like Ogun, Kwara, Osun, Ondo and Ekiti and giving it all to Bayelsa since there'll be less state in the new Republic.

Resource control... Dangote, Dantata, indimi, Tinubu, etc will no longer own oil blocks but we'll start hearing names like Sotonye, diepreye, oluka, wonodi etc controlling these blocks.

Religion, custom, tradition and tribe are distinct features of the people of biafra. They eat the same food too.

For the resource control issue, l don't think Dangote even has an oil block(correct me if l'm wrong) rather the lgbos own more than the Northerners.
