When you eventually get that dream job: 4. Save and Invest: Cultivate the habit of saving and investing. Open an account that will enable you save for the next 5 years without withdrawing. Invest in real estate. Buy land "plenty". It appreciates over time, not like car that depreciates. You would be surprised how much it will cost in the next 5/10 years. Build houses for lease and rent. Invest in treasury bills. Gone are the days when we invest on shares......I don't even know what is happening to this aspect of the economy for now, so I won't advice this. She has said it all. He who has ears, let him ear. Well, such is life. If you're reading this comment section now it means you're very lucky. Money has no respect for gender, race, religion or group of persons. Making and "retaining" money is an act you must learn and practice deliberately. Avoid missing great business opportunities repeatedly, it is the actual cause of poverty. Invest in properties as much as you can.... It's the only real investment. Engr. Daniel(07037629947)

ColinAdua:OK Sir, Let me Enlighten you. "Upon the first [day] of the week let every one of you lay by him in store, as [God] hath prospered him, that there be no gatherings when I come." you say it is the same store mentioned in Malachi, but i must say that's just your inference. as [God] hath prospered him should let you see that it is not a compulsory 10% system like that in the old testament. Apostle Paul didn't use the word "Tithe" so that the gentile church would not think he was roping them down again in bondage of the law. This is also your inference. When trying to distinguish between tithes and offerings, it is important to first understand the concept of tithing. Christians today often think that what they give to their local church is a tithe, when in reality it is an offering. Christian tithing is a misnomer because Christians are under no obligation to fulfill the command to tithe as given to the Israelites as part of the Mosaic Law. The tithe was a requirement of the Law in which all Israelites were to give 10 percent of everything they earned and grew to the tabernacle/temple (Leviticus 27:30; Numbers 18:26; Deuteronomy 14:24; 2 Chronicles 31:5). Tithing was a law under Moses, when Jesus came the law was put to an end Please carefully read: Romans 15:3-4 Galatians 3:23-26 Colossians 2:13-14 Ephesians 2:14-15 He fulfilled the requirements of the Law and made the mandatory 10 percent tithe obsolete. To continue to insist that it is still in effect is to nullify, at least in part, the sacrifice of Christ and return to the idea of justification by works and law-keeping. The first fruits offering found its fulfillment in Jesus. “But Christ has indeed been raised from the dead, the first fruits of those who have fallen asleep” (1 Corinthians 15:20). An offering is that which is freely given by Christians to the work of the Lord, the local church, and/or ministries and missions..God is not nearly as interested in our monetary offerings as He is in our submission and obedience. The truth is that He doesn’t need our resources to accomplish His plans and purposes. After all, He owns the cattle on a thousand hills (Psalm 50:10) and needs nothing from us. What He desires, however, and what He values, is the heart that overflows with gratitude and thanksgiving to the God who saved us and who gives us all things, knowing our needs before we even ask (Matthew 6: . Such a heart gives generously, willingly, and cheerfully in response to the love and grace that abound in Christ (2 Corinthians 9:6– .Read well and remain Blessed |

ColinAdua:Jesus was still alive when he said this. The purpose of His death was to put an end to these things Carefully Read Romans 15:3-4 Galatians 3:23-26 Colossians 2:13-14 Ephesians 2:14-15 God bless you as you learn |

ColinAdua:Good Day Mr. I must say I am impressed by the assumed vastness of your imaginary bible knowledge. One thumb rule about understanding the Bible is that you don't just read a single verse and pick anything that suits you. Also, if a particular issue seems confusing, reading multiple other verses usually helps. Whether tithing should be done by Christians is one topic that has steamed various debates across various Churches and so I would not be surprised if we don't reach a single resolve on the topic . A young man once told me when we were debating about speaking in tongues to "do my own and leave him to do his". Having read all your replies I won't be surprised if you don't change your stance on the topic, but that's OK because in the end judgment belongs to the lord. Besides, you prayed for a power bank that stopped working and it came back to life. what a man of God you are. I have this feeling you are the type who pray for their cars to drive without fuel, who don't take their Generator sets for servicing but rather pray for it. hehehhehe. At one point you even said you were "Honoring God with your Tithes" . SMH MY POINTS. A. English is quite a funny language . For Example: 1 Corinthians 16:2 "Upon the first [day] of the week let every one of you lay by him in store, as [God] hath prospered him, that there be no gatherings when I come. 1. "Let Everyone" surely makes it compulsory as you have rightly noted 2. "As God hath prospered him" Logically, doesn't this mean as you have you give, or you give according to how God has giving to you? Not 10% of whatever you have which would make it tithe. Like I have said , English is funny, Now let's see 1 Corinthians 16:2 using NKJV "Upon the first day of the week let every one of you lay by him in store". Does that sound like lay by him in a storehouse? which would mean a store house, just like the one in Malachi u referred to. 1 Corinthians 16:2 using Good News Bible or Good News Translation "Every Sunday each of you must put aside some money in proportion to what you have earned and save it up" There's your answer bro, you were asking which store was being referred to. The Store referred to meant to SAVE. Not necessarily a storehouse like the one you were referring to in Malachi. Then again, let me ask you if the passage says "Upon the first day of the week", or "Every Sunday" DO YOU GIVE TITHE EVERY FIRST DAY OF THE WEEK? WHAT HAPPENS TO SOMEONE WHO COLLECTS SALARY ONCE IN A MONTH? Please don't even tell me the person should wait till end of the month because you will have to give me a bible verse supporting that claim. And that would be disobeying the "Every first day of the week command". NOW LETS MOVE ON................ ColinAdua: Did you not see the phrase "Let everyone"? Didn't you notice that the phrase makes it compulsory? Did you see any word here like 'let anyone who wish to, lay'? It's a compulsory collections different from the one he talk about in 2 Corinthians 9:7. Where he said "give" not "lay", "as he purposes his heart".MAY BE YOU DID NOT READ SO I'LL PASTE IT HERE FOR YOU.... 2 Corinthians 9:7 GOOD NEWS "You should each give then, as you have decided, not with regret or out of a sense of duty; for God loves the one who gives gladly." NKJV "Everyman according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity; for God loves a cheerful giver." Things to Note: "Everyman" or "you should each give" yes giving should be done by every believer. At least u know this. "As you have decided" or " as he purposeth in his heart" this place does not say as it was stated or as it was done or as it was taught by the law or as it was done by your fathers. it clearly says "as you wish, or as you decide" in your own heart. Not some 10% laid down rule Bro. READ. ENOUGH OF THE LYRICAL WORD PLAY, LETS GET REAL................. ColinAdua:Yes you are right. But see......... Leviticus 27: 1 "And the Lord spake unto Moses".......This then made tithe a command because in verse 30, the Lord says all tithe belongs to him. Numbers 18: 25 "And the Lord spake unto Moses"........The lord still speaks to Moses to tell the levites about tithes again making it a command 2 chronicles 31:4-5 "Moreover he Commanded"...............Another Command . I want you to realize that Abraham and Jacob gave tithe not as a command but willingly. it was in the later part of the Bible that tithe became a command. And so their tithes was not a commandment. OK LETS MOVE ON....... HEBREW 7:8-9 Bro, you seriously don't understand what this place is saying, I will advice you read from chapter 6 through to chapter 7 and hopefully you would understand. Also kindly try using another translation to help you. Verse 8 Good News Translation "In the case of the priests the tenth is collected by men who die; but as for Melchizedek the tenth was collected by one who lives as the scripture says. Hebrews 7 is comparing the priesthood of Melchizedek, Aaron and Jesus. EPHESIANS 2:15 "Having abolished in his flesh the enmity, even the law of the commandments contained in ordinances".. COLOSSIANS 2:14 "Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us; which was contrary to us..." I can go on and on but let me stop here. Why worry yourself so much when even Jesus said they were weightier issues than paying tithes. And then he nailed those commands to the cross... COLOSSIANS 2:14 PLEASE HUMBLE YOURSELF AND READ and Of course you can pay above 10%, God loves a cheerful giver. if you don't understand something, consult many other versions. God Bless you eh.. |

Great one Op! Just that I don't encourage young people to focus and hope on jobs. Why not start your own business or turn your passion into a great business corporation like Mack Zuckerberg, Bill Gates, Warren Buffet and even our own Aliko Dangote and Mike Abenuga did? That way we build conglomerates and creates jobs. God bless every one. |
