When the that INEFFECTUAL BUFFOON was killing the economy, you thought the effects could only be immediate because you were blinded by hate. Most of the things we're witnessing now were set in motion years back. Be honest.

Channels is doing well....I guess because they expanded slowly.

I totally agree.TVC had always thought they would undo Channels overnight given the huge money at their disposal via Tinubu's continual bleeding of Lagos treasury. Those starts big also ends up crashing big anyway

I doubt they will sack them lest they lose huge followership. A lot of people watch TVC because of those ladies.

we raised every Igbo that matters in history with our Ewedu soup.
Ojukwu father arrived in Lagos when he was 26 years old. He raised Ojukwu a Lagos boy.
Ekwueme attended Kings College and was developed eating Ewedu
Chinua Achebe the most popular Igbo and the Okigbos were raised and developed in Ibadan eating Ewedu and Gbegiri
Emeka Anyaoku's wife prepare Yoruba ewedu for him everyday as a Yoruba woman to develop his brain, that is why he is different from monkeys like Kalu and Kanu.

Ngozi Okonjo-Iwealla was raised with our Ewedu and gbegiri going to school at St. Annes Ibadan. Just like we raised her father in Ibadan.

You see most Igbo with anything to show were raised with our Ewedu.

All those ladies on Your View are NON STAFF with the exception of Morayo Afolabi-Brown who is an Assistant Director of Programs or something like that.

The fact that TVC pays them does not make them staff. In broadcasting, you have independent presenters and producers that may not necessarily be staff of the organization.

In this case, they're not independent presenters because Your View is a production of TVC and they all work for TVC. If the show wasn't viable, they could have been among the people sacked because they collect salary. Someone cannot be collecting monthly salary from me and not be my staff.

MadeInTokyo:
News report reaching Nigeria Politics Online confirms that Media giant, Television Continental (TVC) might have relieved 145 workers from its workforce.
It was gathered that reporters of the company located in various States in Nigeria all arrived the headquarters situated at Magodo area of Lagos yesterday, June 1st.

According to the CEO, the mass retrench of workers became imperative because the stations are not commercially viable.

The management might have sacked 145 staff of the media house.

There are indications also that TVC Africa has been rested for inability to break even, financially.

This, it was learnt, was the outcome of Friday’s town hall meeting with the Chief Exevutive Officer.
According to the CEO, the sack became imperative because the stations are not commercially viable.

He said TVC Nigeria and Radio are not making enough money to cater for TVC Africa.

Both the TV and radio stations are owned by former Governor of Lagos State and National Leader of All Progressives Congress, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

Details later……

Channels is run by a core media personality, John MOMOH, that guy eats and breathes media, give him halve of what Tinubu has and Channels would be competing with CNN.. Tinubu is a media propagandist

Guy i believe channels is the best local station in Nigeria, but baba lets call a spade a spade and not a digging instrument, Channels just like most Nigerian corporation doesn't have that "Magic" of the likes of CNN or BBC. This magic isn't built on just money, it is built on innovation, strategy and passion. Christian Amanpour has been to the WAR front than most American soldiers, No Nigerian Journalist has even dared an interview with an high ranked Boko-Haram Commander, have you seen the dangers that some journalist put themselves in just to cover the 9/11 bombing. We also have passionate individuals like that in Nigeria but trust me they hardly get hired.

when you watch TV in Nigeria, you hardly learn, all this Nigeria presenters are star" conscious, Watch Hardtalk and see how Steve of BBC makes you know more about obasanjos mode, and Amanpour calls Buhari with his first name, but seun of Channels would be shouting Sir to ordinary senators.......This compromises quality.

Let me ask you how you got to know about RIchard Quest? His show is popular right? there are few quality shows on Nigerian TV which translate to few prime time for Expensive adverts.

Go check out Ajazera,CNN, CNBC and BBC, they attract only the best of Journalist, BBC took James ochole(not sure of spelling) from a Radio station in Lagos, Fareed Zakaria started working in CNN when his freelance article received national acclaim, in Nigeria people dont make it to the TV screen without some help"....

And there is no competition for breaking news, good stories among reporters in Nigeria,Just few good guys like chamballen, Maupe etc.

CNN, BBC and co write, report, broadcast and get involved in everything.... The philosophy behind them is great not just the money
