GURUS in the House........,

Abit confused here. The space on the Application form that asks for How much is available for Studies, ..... Do VOs make their convertion with N230/$1cad or thry use Nigerian banking convertion lf N280/$1cad.

I know the visa application paid at vfs office is almost N230/$1cad.

I need to know how much to put in that space. I dont want to undershoot it or overshoot the cash.

My Tuition fee is $14,790 + $10,000 maintenance fee = $24,790cad.

Pls can somone who knows what equivalent in Nigeria to fill in that space, tell me.

Thanks

@maziude I gbadun your style boss. Ever since you got your trv you have been so active and helpful on this thread nevertheless you need to be very careful with how you share your sop. Am not saying or assuming that if in case your sop is copied for application of any sort your visa will be affected oooo. No. What am particular about is that try and teach these men to write good sop. Plagiarism is an offence hope you know. Make them write something and help them build it. I do that on daily bases and it has helped them a lot. @darrey and yemmdogg taught me and now am good. So train them boss.

Greetings. @yemmdogg, osemigho can't stop praying for you guys. I will rejoice with you guys and all trv hopeful soon. Bon voyage

Hi all,

Please I need assistance, my Tuition fee is about $20,000CAD + $10,000 living expense. I have about 4M in my own account and my sponsor has about 5M....is that enough to use as source of funds?

Also my mum is my sponsor and she has good turnover however it's a personal account, do they normally ask for the source of funds during processing? And if they do can someone please help me with the best response to give because she doesn't have any business and she is a retiree.

This necessarily isn't about tomorrow. Helping in this context would mean reviewing an already written SOP, making corrections and giving suggestions. Plagiarism is a serious offence especially dealing with canadians and we should not encourage it.

It doesn't matter whether a person is directly involved in it or not. We should not even aid it at any instance.

If chances presents a VO the duty to go through different applicants' SOP with similar content then the case of help may not be considered.

So while i actually relate with what you mean, one or two persons may not. So i think we should outrightly discourage it. The consequences are always grave.

Regards.

Knowing if the 5M of your sponsor will be sufficient for you in addition to your available funds will also be dependent of a couple of factors.

1.Who the sponsor is and the level of relationship with you. (can see your mother is)

2. Sponsor's level of commitment both to you and other dependants.

While your sponsor may have 5M for you, it MAY not be sufficient if that funds is the only available funds at this time. So a good thing to do is to transfer 3-3.5M or the 5M to you out of some excess of a greater amount. Something should be left for sponsor's other obligation(s). This make sense and can appeal as convincing to anybody and not just officers.

She will have to prove her source of funds as well. If your program is more than a year, this source will hold water as to how she will generate further funds for your study. So make sure she provide evidence of her income source.

Good evening all. Please I need your help. I have admission at Concordia University for fall 2017, have paid my fees, applied for the receipt but haven't gotten the receipt yet. Any ideas on who I can call for my receipt or a contact to send email to. I have sent email to the international students office but no response yet. I haven't applied for my sturdy permit yet and I feel it's getting late for fall 2017. Also, is the receipt going to come via email? Thanks for any assistance in this regard.
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 12 by Justhelping: 5:38pm On Jun 05, 2017
Hey, as long as it's not a sum of money that was dumped in the account, don't be worried about them questioning her source of funds.

Have something that shows she's a retiree, like a certificate of completion of service from her workplace/something related. Her age would back that up as well.

Your total funds is about 30k dollars in proof to your financial stand. It's okay to do your best and try to prove you have up to or more than the amount. However, if it's close to that it's still fine as long as there's good inflow and outflow. More so, you're supporting yourself. So give your best, and leave the rest.

Hi, if you've sent them an email, they'll reply. But I'll suggest you contact a number listed anywhere on the website. One should eventually transfer you to a receptionist whom you can speak with and have your call transferred to the intl office. You can do this in about an hour/45mins cuz it's currently lunch hour.

The receipt will likely come by email or billed to your account for you to print out. Be calm, it's never too late.
