I applied for tier 4 student visa since 18th April and got a mail on 8th May that my application is not straightforward. No other update from UKVI since then. My last enrolment date is 9th June which is few days from now. I tracked my application today and I got this image below .... Does it really mean that my application have been accessed by ECO? PLS ANY ONE WHO UNDERSTANDS THIS BETTER

[September 11] When is your school resuming?
Based on your resumption date, the earliest date you can start applying is from june 11. So, if you apply during these times of june, before August, you should have received feedback if it was approved or not. Also, ensure your savings for maintenance complete the cycle of 28 days before you apply, take note.

]1. What do you mean 'Sustain'? You mean School fees, transport, feeding, and rent?

2. What kind of Job do you want or think you will be doing? A company CEO? Or the "usual" student casual jobs?

3. Let's do some mathematics.
Assuming you get a job that pays £10 per hour.
10 x 20 = £200 per week.
That translates to £800 per month.

Good money yeah?

How much is your transport per week? How much is your house Rent per week? Plus or minus Bills? How much will you spend per week on Food?

I am assuming that you are not thinking of using your 20hr per week wages to pay school fees right?

Lool by using the word 'sustain' it's evident the individual meant living expenses. As tuition isn't among the requirements to live as a decent individual.

You will pay NIA from that money so that totally monthly take-home is less than £800

Pls kindly advice. I want to apply for a student Visa. I did an MBA in the UK in 2009; now I want to go for an LLM. I have older children, I have paid for my daughter to do foundation but have a 16 and 13 yr old I want to take along. How much do I have to show and will they request I pay for private schools for the other children.
Thanks.

https://www.gov.uk/tier-4-general-visa/family-members
https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/guidance-for-dependants-of-uk-visa-applicants-tiers-1-2-4-5

2. Take your time to navigate the web pages

3. Where in the UK will you be studying?
London? You require GBP 845 x 9 = GBP 7,605 per dependant.
For two children its = GBP 7,605 x 2 = GBP 15,210 ONLY.

Are you going with your wife?
That is another GBP 7,605

Plus the 15,210 = GBP 22,815 Only.
Total for Dependants = 22,815 ONLY.

I assume you have already settled your own school fees, and shown your own Maintenance money yeah?

Outside of London, you must have at least £680 per month to support yourself

For example, a Tier 4 (General) applicant who is applying for leave to study in London at the same time as their spouse and 2 children would need to show that they have £845 per month for their spouse and a further £845 per month for each of their children, in addition to £1265 per month required for their own support. In total the family will require evidence that they hold £3800 in available funds up to a maximum of 9 months (3 x £845 = £2535 + £1265).

Did you say you want to go for an LLM? That is 1 year yeah?

But why were you changing Names?

Not from a previous experience but from my own thinking, if I were the one:
1. I will go to High court and swear an affidavit. The affidavit will clearly mention that OLADOKUN IBUKUN JOHN and OLADOKUN JOHN IBUKUNOLUWA is one and the same person.

2. I will use 3,500 to do a Newspaper Classified Advert.

Thank you Laajiblik. I didn't change the names intentionally, that is just how the names are arranged on my passport, I filled OLADOKUN JOHN IBUKUNOLUWA in the passport form when I applied in 2015 but the passport names came out as OLADOKUN IBUKUN JOHN.. and because there was an instruction on the CAS request form and TB test form that the name should be written as it appears on the passport I had to write OLADOKUN IBUKUN JOHN on the CAS and TB cert.
Now m jst worried cos my academic certificates and account name for the maintenance is OLADOKUN JOHN IBUKUNOLUWA cry

Good day everyone,

I am a prospective applicant for a master program in UK. I need clarity to the following questions.
1. Does the Tier 4 UK visa guarantees the 20hr working hours for international students?
2. Can one use the Nigerian health Insurance policy when applying for visa?
3. Do I need to submit an English Test result at the embassy even when I have been exempted from doing such by schools I intend to apply?

Your sincere answers will be appreciated.

Thanks
Re: Uk Student Visa/tier 4 Pbs - Your Questions Answered Part 3 by mimilyrics: 5:59pm On Jun 13, 2017
1. Yes.
2. No. You will pay a health surcharge to use the UK health system.
3. Your school will have to state how your English proficiency was considered satisfactory. But if you have a prior degree from a majorly English-speaking country, you don't need a test. If not, you need the ielts test.

You should always note which of these names is your first name, second name and last name (surname) when filling any form again. Also, write your name in full.

Hello House.
Has anyone submitted documents for UK Tier 4 Visa recently?
Is there a delay or my own case is different?
I applied for Tier 4 Dependant Visa to enable me join my Wife who is currently doing her PhD in Leeds.

I submitted at Abuja TLS.
Date Submitted: Wednesday, 24th May>
TLS Website Confirmation: Application Submitted (24th May)
Transferred for Decision: 25th May.
Received by UKVI: 25th May

I was happy that everything seem to be moving at good speed.
On 6th June, I received the email below:
Your online application has been received in Sheffield, UK. Your application is currently being prepared for consideration by an Entry Clearance Officer.

Since then, NO communication at All. I am getting worried, really.

Or Could anyone kindly confim for me if there is a General Delay?

Thank you forumites.
