Congratulations on your admission. It is likely that the position does not require extensive related experience, hence your getting the interview in the first place. Go read about the position very well and be sure to show your enthusiasm for the position during the interview. Look out for all the good things you have done since you became an adult including in college, high school and nysc. You can talk about these to show your work ethic. I am working this summer myself on some project where I have no domain knowledge but I was hired anyway. Good luck.

No I didn't.There is usually a waiting list for Teaching Assistant Position for all Masters students within the department. But all PhD students get TAs which covers tuition cost and stipends

I think you should have some knowledge about common gym equipment, simple exercise regimen, work out sequences. Just know the basics. It'll show you know something. My take sha

Yes I don't have a supervisor . I have been doing some research though. Some the information I gathered the department had a lot of incoming students this year and most of them are PhD students , I also learnt that the state is cutting down on research funding too.

Congratulations on your admission. In addition to what temmitarts suggested, you can lookup the FAQ on the recreational sport office webpage, there should be a couple of helpful answers there.

Another efficacious approach is to search for graduate assistants in the field on LinkedIn and try to relate with them, they will give you an insight on how they were interviewed and what their job entails, this will enable you do the needful.

If you don't mind me asking, what was your profile like? And which school(s) did you apply to?

You have to go to the registrar's office to get it. Its 1k plus other charges like (gown and alumni fee in case you haven't paid).

Yes, you can sit for TOEFL on a weekend.
I did mine on a Saturday.

If you are looking at Computer Science grad program especially
PhD, please consider Kansas State University. It is ranked 90 on the usnews ranking
and is a top program in the United States. The department is very good with excellent
facilities, faculty and opportunities (funding). The strengths are in the area of Cybersecurity,
Machine Learning, high Performance Computing, Software Specification and Analysis research.
If your GPA is around 4/5 and you have a GRE score around 315, you stand a very good chance.
The Nigerian family here is going to be 3 this fall and it is exciting to see the place becoming more diverse.
Good luck to the prospective graduate students.

PS: By the way, all the talk about work experience or research experience is mostly crap talk.
What you need to succeed is your hunger and attitude. No one really has it figured out. If anyone
does, then it is useless work and not good research. If you have a healthy work ethic and work hard,
your limits are just mere fiction.

I have downloaded the PowerPrep II software several times, but it's not working on my system despite the fact that my system has Windows 10. I have used both Internet Explorer 11 and Microsoft Edge, but the software is still not working on my system.

Waaaooooh! I like this! Your aims are high, and I think asking before it's time is a pointer that you're closer to your dreams than you realize.
Yeah, sit tight and finish Maths UI with a first class. This is THE MOST IMPORTANT, for now. Maths PhD is not as structured as BS Maths, in that math research is so broad, and you'll be starting out with a blank plate, for you to go figure it out. Whereas in your undergraduate days, you generally have an idea of the proofs, methods and solutions. The best way is to finish among the top 1% of your graduating class, preferably the best graduating.

How?

Treat each class, each test, each assignment, each quiz, each exam, each term paper with all seriousness. With time, that lofty dream of an 8.0 (am I right) will materialize.

And as for preparation for a PhD at top US schools, don't fret about taking tests for now. When it's time, you'll need to take the GRE general test, GRE Math Subject test and TOEFL/IELTS. But, my brother, for now, you need to be focused on that 4-year stint at UI. But to whet your appetite, check these sites for admissions requirements and FAQ for Maths Graduate Adm at MIT.

In summary, they want to see that you have:
1. Consistently aced your undergraduate classes (aka 85% and above)
2. Demonstrated interest in Math Research to your lecturers, enough for them to later help you write glowing hot letters of recommendation on your behalf
3. Mastered your coursework excellently enough to score very highly on the GRE Math Subject test (MIT requires this, and yes, it's different from the GRE general test)

And that should do it. You won't have to worry about tuition, once you can get enough funds to apply and fly to the US.
Plus, the choices available to you after PhD are truly limitless.
