Who we are, is what shape our thinkings and views about things. Your post was exactly the thought that came to my mind when I saw the thread. He might probably know her, and just advising her the right thing to do according to his own view.
My only problem is the last part of she can put it on after the holy month. This is just like saying for this period of Ramadan don't sin but you can continue your wrong doing after the end of the fasting. This preaching by Muslims is not good as far as I am concerned, everyday should be a day to live the true teaching of Islam maybe minus fasting.
