Why the arguments... I thought the questions aren't the same for everyone. Or am I wrong?

I completed my on-demand interview yesterday. Not a bad experience. Just try to be calm, sound confident, sight instances and you should be fine.

My question were;
Why shell and why the energy industry?

Have i ever been in a situation where i had to take a different approach to something?

My background and how it's a fit for this job?

How i coped with a difficult task?

I can't remember the fifth question. Let me aloso add that they specifically stated that some of your answers should try to follow this format.

1. The situation
2. What the challenge was
3. How you were able to tackle it
4. Solution and conclusion

PS: your question would most likely be different but this just serves as a guide as to what to expect.

I hope i have been able to help someone.
I still cant understand why people will be hoarding information and exploiting people monetarily.

We rise by lifting others.

this is very unethical. Telling people the questions. You think they will love u. This same people when de pass will shove u away not knowing u spoon feed dem. U just shot yourself in d foot thinking dat u are helping dem. I hate dishonesty. U gave other people chance of passing at the detriment of odas who did earlier without no help. U are not dependable and will betray odas just because u want fame. She'll warned u of copyright transfer. U are a disgrace.

And people like that don't understand the business world. Its a different education from dy/dx and so forth.

Let them start a successful business and in a bid to be liberal, divulge their trade secrets on a forum like this and expect to remain in business. Maybe Coca-cola should have told us what makes its Cola taste different from Pepsi, maybe we would all be making Coke today.

And when they get employed in Shell or wherever, let them keep revealing their employer's internal info and expect a pat on the back, even a promotion letter waiting on their desks.

I'm all for benevolence and rendering kind assitance and meaningful support wherever appropriate. But wisdom is profitable to direct.

I have charity for all and malice towards know. But anyone who traduces me verbally or typographically will reap same from me tacitly or expressly.

i see no reason why you should criticize anyone in this thread for his or her actions, i can see a clear picture of what i experienced in university days in class with this over sabi people that will never allow anyone pass more than them, if you were not lucky to have access to questions before your own assessment , should not be a criteria that others should not be lucky, and moreover why do you search for past question before taken a test?.... life is race of individual, we all carry different destinies, so if you don;t have it, you shouldn't be sad or angry that someone else have it,
i rest my case..let us grow up.

I can see you talking about destiny, very intelligent of you. Small time now you'd get job and go to church to share testimony.

Your fellow intelligent candidates that are posting questions here seem to be so intelligent they forget they agreed to not disclose shell private materials.

Believe me, no level of preparation/tip can make you one one of Shell recruit unless you're truly one of the best from an insane pool of applicants. Loose that every one is against me mentality and start applying common sense to very simple things.

Don't quote me, quote your ancestors.

Who are these ones acting like they own the place. Are you shell?. What's your business if someone shares any material anywhere. It's really getting weird in here and I don't understand what these folks are sulking about. Inane dudes acting like they can speak English. Grab a seat and wait for whatever letter you deserve. And if you cannot improve the silence, learn to keep your mouth shut. That's an advise you should take seriously.

Ain't disappointed at all, just feel Shell has lost someone who could have added value to their company. I personally have nothing to loose as I believe something better awaits me. We should all have similar belief instead of arguing with ourselves.

Calling a spade a spade: posting your test questions here isnt appropriate. It is unethical. It's like organizing malpractice for waec or jamb students and term it "helping the students".

Being a politician: You don't have the right to judge what anyone posts here. They are exercising their fundamental right to freedom of expression.

Religiously calling a spade a shovel: How dare you say people should not show kindness? Many of us have been helped by Nairaland. This is part of giving back to the community and God shall bless the poster. God bless you op, you are a cheerful giver!

Johnny just come ("TL; DR" disciple): What is happening here? Why the argument??

Shell: these guys think say we no get sense.. grin grin grin ... Or we no dey online with them... grin grin for their mind dem dey release area code abi grin cheesy grin cheesy grin

Besides d video questions aren't the same
The video interview isn't the only criteria for this recruitment, dere is d verbal ,quantitative, abstract and working style.
So one out of five is extremely fair.

I could say no more mate. You have been sagacious in highlighting the wrong in his act and their misjudgement. That we in magnitude support appalling acts like this is incomprehensible. Basically affirms the parallels between our society and the corporate world. This ends here.

NICE ONE. well, while doing my research on shell,I found out that honesty is one of their core values.
am not scared and I won't cry for being honest because my dad always tell me n keeps reminding me DAT d success of the dishonest is only but temporary.
As for the sky, I think it is too small for my size, lol forgive me,I actually meant that d sky is not my limit but my starting point.
Bye for now.

That's the mentality. If you can, read what Wladimir Klitschsco wrote after he lost to Anthony Joshua. You are winner nevertheless. At least you tried even when some didn't have the guts to do so. Go and and succeed man.

My on-demand video session was a funny one, from learning how to knot a tie to finding a Good spot in the house where the lighting is perfect. Now am in a cousins house, he just welcomed twins, so I couldn't take the test during the day because of the noise and movements, I chose late night, finding a well lit spot was difficult, tho my camera was bright, that app of a thing kept dimming each time I log in, I got fed up and did it anyway, some parts of my face were a bit dark, and I forgot one vital info, babies always wake up at night grin grin, here I am in the middle of my babbling, I hear the babies start crying, i started stammering, the only thing I got right was staring at the u lense, grin ;DI managed to finish while the babies kept crying upstairs. I still got a mail telling me am done with stage 1, and I have been waiting to get my own love letter since Saturday, a miracle might just happen, so let's all hope for the best, while I expect the worst grin grin grin

You should seriously go and find out what you are really angry at. It seems your response is not about ethics but personal issues.
You could have really found a better way to pass your message.
All you did was scream: "I'm commenting right now with uncontrolled emotions!".
Look into it. It's not always how it seems.
