No reason for a guy to cry. In fact no reason for mother to cry over a son - He's not leaving na! It's girls that leave their parents, guys have choice, so if you so love mum, don't go reside too far from her.

In as much as this may be sign of great love between mother and son, it may not be a healthy one for a man planning to start his own home. It will have serious negative effects on his new home.

Let me explain incase u don't understand. I will use myslf as an example. I was raise in a family where the tie between children and parents and siblings to siblings is very tight. It was so lovely living in this kind of family/environment. As a man, as u progresses in life you need to adjust some certain things especially when you are ready to get married. I was the type that cannot stay from Monday to Friday without visiting my parents or even spending some days with them. At a point i realised that if i continue with the way i was so closed to my parent that it will affect me wen i get married because by then i may not have all the time to be paying them visit like before and the story will be that my wife has stopped me from paying them visit and that may make my family as seeing my wife as colonizing me.

So this guy, should reduce the tie between him and his mom (it does not me he should not love her mom so very much) so that the mom will be able to give him space to manage his new home very well. If he fails to do this, he will find himself torn between his wife and mom. This will not make a good condition for his family to thrive.

Abi now... Even if a guy is mama's boy, that doesn't mean she shouldn't be able to take his own decision as regards his family and stand on it.
