I suggest creche s just the best option.... try get a good one if u can afford d pay consider security wise and always do welfare for the nanny i bet u she l always concentrate on the child even if s 500naira weekly... ur child wl be consider first... i we t tru did but its now history....quote author=wholesomegrace post=57314738]

@spiceeamiee, tough decision, however creche is my best option. I wouldn't leave my child alone at home with a nanny or house girl even if I had one. How to make the best use of this option is to start doing ur research now on good creches around your area that opens early enough and run like a home, those ones have flexible closing hours, and as such, since island traffic isn't predictable, they are aware you might close late. When I started my creche search, same names kept popping up as very good so ask and you wouldn't miss it.

So you leave home with baby (ur hubby should drop you, or if ur hubby is good with babies, he can even do the drop off/pick up if he returns from work earlier), drop baby at creche, then hubby drops you at your bus stop and you go to work. After work, you go straight to pick baby. For me, I consider driving with baby to the Island strenuous even if you have a car of your own, but it could be better if there is someone else in the car in case baby needs attention.

For other options.....I no sabi o, cos these stories everywhere hen, it is well ni. There are creches with horrible stories too, but the professional ones are great, though expensive cos some charge as high as btw 100k to 120k quarterly in my area asides early drop off and late pick up. Whenever I sit down or lie down for some long time, I experience stiffness and pains in my feet when I try to stand up. It has been on for a while now, about a week or so. I didn't think much about it but it has refused to go. Just yesterday, I sat on the bare tiles and I started feeling pains inside my bumbum bones. I had to use a pillow to support my bumbum.

Please Sabi mamas, what could be wrong? What do I need to do? I'm hoping it's not some kind of nutrient deficiency affecting my bones
The pains are usually worse in the mornings when I get up from bed


Please mamas, don't waka pass o. I'm almost 17 weeks gone.

My pregnancy was the roughest to say the least....after a 12 year break....with an EDD of July 26, I was just counting down and could not wait for all the preggie symptoms to disappear!! My hubby and two daughters aged 14 and 12 were my strongest support ever.

I moved to a new country just last week, resumed June 1 and luckily hubby came along to settle.me down. Only for the second jigijigi to occur throughout this pregnancy to take place two nights ago and low and behold, my waters broke and I poured all night.....I was crying all through and hubby blamed himself all night for initiating

Fast forward to yesterday morning, reported to the hospital that had been recommended to me in my new city of abode, and for the scan to reveal that there was little or no amniotic fluid left o....inmediate management was to bring my baby out ASAP...at 33 weeks plus 2 days o.....via CS as they didn't even want to risk a vaginal delivery to avoid trauma or infection to baby. Despite my being a medical doctor, I cried myself silly and have been worried all night about possible complications of delivery at this stage including the possibility of a NICU stay for baby and my fear of CS as my first two were vaginal at 37+ May I advise at this point not to let too much Google mess up our heads.....I read up the good, bad and ugly and was scared silly . I was given steroid shots to aid baby's lungs and also commenced on prophylactic antibiotics and CS scheduled for 1300 hours today. To God be all the glory my people, following start of surgery, baby was our in roughly 3 minutes and yelled his lungs out. On examination by the receiving paediatrician, we were informed he had a fantastic Apgar score of 9, all was good and there was not the slightest indication for NICU stay for even a second....my people.....I was shedding tears on the surgery table of gratitude to God for His mercies indeed last forever

Baby is sleeping peacefully right now, I am still on an adrenaline high and wide awake....what more can I ask for an early 40th birthday present?

Mamas abeg is forgetfulness part of d package? Imagine me leaving church and I forgot my bible and jotting pad but I remember to pick the flask I use carry food go church.

Lemme laugh small jare....am OJU IGO like some people do call me. Who cares . I remember when I had my first baby, my doctor said keep this thing nah so u dont break it. I was forming boss lady. when my water broke and the pain intensified I flinged my glasses from my face. Funny enough my sight was clear as in very clear...lol. Na after I born finish commot for delivery room, enter my room, I noticed my vision isn't that clear again and I was looking for my glasses.
Hubby just asked if my glasses will go with me to the favor room this time around....chai...yes nah. I will use rope to tie it so I won't fling it away
