No sir, I did ACS assessment. I used my MSc in Information Systems and work experience.

@Sunvick, did you take the RPL route?

I concur

Same also goes for all nigerian commercial banks issuing USD debit card.

Also don't forget the bank charges when making conversion...
I always add 5 USD for every 100 USD transactions

For Gtbank ; I have already included all their relevant charges in my conversion of AUD1.26 = $1. For instance AUD6300+0.98% DIBP charge (AUD 6,361.74 = $5,037.85). This can also be supported by ppl on this forum who have used GTB payment for same.
***Caveat: try adding an extra of say $50 to avoid the transaction bouncing back, for Gtbank normally hold that extra sum but returns it after transaction goes through.

Congrats bro, I have begged for guidance to ace IELTS from you. No response till date. I'm having issues with the reading part of it, please can anybody give tips on how to ace it?
No vex, I only used the official "Road to IELTS" study materials during my IELTS preparations, so I don't really have any specific tips,.... All I remember be say, the questions can be tricky... Its very necessary to read the instructions, things like two words and a number, or not more than three words..... In addition, the obvious answer in the passage generally isn't the answer.. Its usually necessary to re-read it.

I don't think this response is very helpful... I'm sure someone else has something better to say... Cheers smiley

Nice one everyone for the support we are giving to each other
As regarding getting PR, I want to confirm if it is dependent on the course you studied or the work you get. if as a biochemist you get a job as a chemist, does that mean you can apply since you work as a chemist or you cant because you studied biochemistry

This information is absolutely incorrect, don't scare people with such assertion and misinformation.

I had no drop of certification nor BSc in IT for 1st degree buh still got a positive outcome in 14days.

So abeg, take am easy with such info before you relegate some people to #GMPC SV

@Sunvick my assertion was that it is better and safe to have a certification in order not to waste the AUD500 (this Na person salary-I hope you know). In my case I have a CCIE(R&S) certification.

Clearly wrong.......

I had just a BSc ( and I graduated last year) with no work experience although I attached some part time work during Uni days which doesn't count anyways...

And I got +ve assessment within 11 days

I need to ask, is this BSc from Nigeria? Cos I've been hearing that ACS requires two years experience for positive assessment, which is why I haven't been able to drag all my computer science guys into this...

@bnimz obviously there has been an oversight with ACS and pre degree work experience. "At least on my part".... Its still unclear but full exploration is in progress.

I think u are gud to go with assessment, but u will still have to sit for IELTS , have a minimum of 7 across all band or sit for PTE.
Greetings to my bosses in the house, I have some short questions and would be glad and appreciate if you could clear for me.

1. This is related to the assessment by Engineer Australia. I have BSc. Mechanical Engineering (Nigeria) and MSc. Mechanical Engineering (UK). I want my BSc assessed, will I need to indicate my study experience from the MSc UK when doing the episodes? ]It is optional but bear in mind that should any of your career episodes be based on your Msc work, you will need to upload your Msc transcript and if you're not writing any of your episodes based on your Msc , you can just include your Msc in your CPD and this shouldn't require you to upload your Msc transcript.

2. I like to be sure if I would be required to request for transcripts from my uni (Nigeria) after assessment application.
You are required to do this before your application as it will be part of your documentary evidence.

The part time work counted. Without it you would not have a +ve assessment, not without 2 years post qualification experience.
