Normally I'd just wave it off as an egoistical behavior typical of narcissists.

But in line with a recent resolution to repent from judging people, I wish to know what is behind this trending act of liking your own post.

I can't be the only one who find it awkward.

Try this approach , not all human behaviour can be explained and it's not absolutely necessary to know why it is so. Quite frankly there is way to much out there that is far more interesting and appealing than trying to figure out why some people are shallow. Would you not agree?

The annoying part is when you put up a discourse, instead of contributing through the comments section, everyone will just be dashing you likes

I take it that you mean it increases chances of your posts appearing on your friends' news feed.

I do it all the time. I mean you must first like your stuff before others do simple
