I know it's not my place to talk, but personally, I think he's out to achieve a personal objective that has nothing to do with "the people". He has a cult leader type vibe about him. Yanno, sometimes people use a cause as a means to gain power & domination for themselves. There're actually people with a need to have power & control over others, because if feeds their delusions of importance that is ingrained within their personality. Of course you find most of these narcissists in positions of power eg. as church leaders, politicians etc, because they have the ability to manipulate with great skill, while also making it look like they share the same vision of the minions. I say minions because to them, people are just pebbles to be used collectively as a stepping stone to the top of the pyramid, where they feel they belong.
