The original owners of the crude cannot afford common pure water to drink and you see this happening, is it fair? Nigeria needs to be brought down and rebuilt, this time on equity and fairness. All those one Nigeria loyalists are the 1% who have shared everything (natural resources, civil service, politics) amongst themselves and their generations yet unborn while the remains 99% are left with practically nothing but the crumbs that fall from their table.

Too many hypocritical posters here. Much as I'm not a fan of this woman and her questionable wealth, there's no point making it look like this wedding is too 'lavish'.

In Nigeria, lavishness is always proportional to income/available resources. You'll see one smug idiot with a so-called good job (in one FMCG firm or bank or government parastatal or whatever) earning about N500k a month, and he would spend N5m-N7m on his wedding, and drink garri long afterwards. If that is not lavish and show-offish, then what is? Notch it up a bit to the middle executives of decent firms who earn N1m and above per month, if they or their offspring are getting married, they spend well over N10m on average.

Imagine these same smug hypocrites are worth a billion dollars, and make an average of $2 million dollars every week (as I'm sure the likes of Alakija make), imagine what they would spend on a wedding?
