I really hope the kidnapping trend could end asap. How can Nigeria develop when those with clear intentions to participate in creating job opportunities in their little ways don't feel secure in their homeland?

One of my friend's brother went to Nigeria from US to visit his family and ended up being kidnapped. He managed to escape and ran back to the US. The kidnappers went ahead to kidnap his mom and his sister, asking him for ransom doubling what they needed for him before he escaped. He had to run around here in the US to get the money they needed before they let his mom and sister go. The incident happened in Edo state.

Who then would blame those in diaspora that don't want to come back to Nigeria? No security, police harassment, unpredictable electricity etc. It's just much going on in that land.

This guy should have channeled his skills and expertise to our politicians(fellow thieves) instead of kidnapping innocent business men.

Of what use is this publication? To show names of people that can afford ransoms so they will be exposed as targets for future kidnapping? Or is it to show how lucrative kidnapping business is?

The Nigerian Police should buckle up abeg. I am sure if that guy had lawyered-up, they may not be able to successfully prosecute him. Let them take a clue from EFCC and how they have been finding it difficult to win court cases.
