That is at their discretion. But so far I have not seen anyone that they contact their employers. They only need you reference letter on letter head or statutory declaration and 2 payslip if letter head is not available. chikena

@bnimz confam ooo. however DIBP may verify, so make sure the coy letterhead is a registered coy with reachable contacts.
Payslip is also a must to backup your claims

Sorry,I did not present the question properly.My wife is been paid by hand and would like to know what you sent as proof employment.Also wanted to know if her letter of employment and reference from her boss only will sail in this case

You might ask the employer to give payslips but if they require for statement you might have issues.Also tax card/certificate is acceptable but I don't know how you will get that if you're paid cash.
By the way, why would they still be paying cash as salary in 2017?.Its archaic.

Thats is it. Make sure the part time work during uni is more than 20 hours. it should be stated on the reference letter.

Welcome on board ma. I believe you do stand a chance if you do excellently well with your IELTS/PTE (8 across all sections giving you 20 points).

Oh really @ 5 years. It's amazing knowing that sociology takes that long in LASU. Well, that should give you 15 points.

So here is a projection of your points
Age: 25

Qualification: 15

Experience: Not sure if AIM would give you the entire 4years spent in HR. If you are given, then you'll get to claim 5 points from experience.

English proficiency: You just have to make 20 points here.

Total of 65&60 in case up to 3 years of your years of experience in HR isn't acknowledged.

However, since it's a sponsored occupation, if you are able to claim the 5 points from experience and you are only able to hit 7 band for 10 points in English proficiency, you'll still be fine.

Hello house, please tell me this isn't right! My first degree is in Petroleum engineering and I intend to study environmental engineering in oz, does this mean i wont be eligible for PR after my msc degree because Petroleum Engineering isnt on the sol/csol list?

He is correct. Engineering masters doesn't change anything as regards PR.

Just let the gurus guide you on how to handle EA. There is a possibility that they would assess you as a Professional Engineer instead of an Engineering Technologist.

How about sending a mail to ACWA to see if you qualification can fly welfare officer? Then you can decide on how to design your reference.

My wife's score in IELTS is also low, otherwise she would have added some points. She just finished her NYSC with no job experience than teaching during her Teaching practice. However, She has some special skills in American Sign Language- though not certified. Kindly advise. Thanks all for your help

This won't be a bad idea too but I think with ACWA, she needs at least two years experience in the field to be assessed positively. I checked it out some time ago.

Just to let you know that Engineers Australia primarily assesses undergraduate engineering qualifications. We don't assess computer related degrees.

If the visa you wish to apply for has a requirement for a Skills Assessment, then:

· You will need to choose your occupation nomination. Please refer to the ANZSCO dictionary for the definition of the occupation nomination. The ANZSCO dictionary is downloadable from www.abs.gov.au.
· Please also refer to http://www.border.gov.au/Trav/Work/Work/Skills-assessment-and-assessing-authorities/assessing-authorities for all information on the assessment authorities and the SOL.

As the assessing body, EA is unable to offer guidance on which occupation should be nominated.

The most important thing to remember when choosing a category is that you are able to demonstrate your knowledge in that area of Engineering, therefore it is important this is chosen by you.

Please click here, type your desired discipline into the search bar, this will bring up the definition of the occupation as well as the criteria of what we look for. You can use this as a guide when deciding which category to nominate.
