Abeg for those of u that submitted marriage cert, how did u upload it. Did u photocopy then shrink to A4 size as d paper is very long or did u upload long like that.

If one uploads photocopy of marriage cert is it a problem?

Urgent response pls. Thanks

Really unhappy about my IELTS scores.

Listening 7.5
Reading 5.5
Writing 7.5
Speaking 7.5
Overall 7

I was wondering if I could still make use of it.

Your suggestions are welcome.

You would have to rewrite it as the 5.5 nullifies the result.

Thanks Perks.

Will the LL.B be regarded as a professional degree and awarded the scores for a Master degree?

Can you tell me why IQAS please? Does it mean WES gives it a lower score?

Will really appreciate your response.

Yes. IQAS assess LL.B as a professional degree

i took it to a cyber cafe where they scanned it as a whole - they used a bigger scanner and then turned it to A4, another method is to scan half then the other half and then merge it but you need to know how to work one of those software - i did this type as well

Got my IELTS results guys!
L: 8.5.
R: 8.5
W:7.0
S: 8.5

I can finally dive into the EE pool with a score of 430, pending when spouse's remark will come in to increase it to 448.
She being the PA will even give us a better CRS.
Lets hope the CRS scores for ITA remain low in the coming draws as I really don't want a long wait.[I neva start sef! smiley]

Good luck to everyone of us and let the good news continue!

I also concur with the suggestion that you should write your answers in capital. I guess that tip was what worked for me.

My result was L - 8, R- 9, S-7 and W-7

I also used ieltsliz and ieltsbuddy.

Congrats to those that have aced it and best of luck to others yet to take the exam.

perks:

I did more of listening practice on YouTube. For all others it was mainly ieltsliz.com and ielts buddy.com.

Read explanations on each test module so u understand Wat to look out for.

Also, make use of the free British council materials u get access to wen u register for d test. Listen to videos of the ielts examiners explaining d test. I found it useful.

For d exam, write ur answers in Capital letters. Warning: dis is for Listening & Reading ONLY

All d best

I think you should maintain the status quo. Rates are stable now and are likely to remain so for some time.

Please bear in mind that IRCC does not use parallel market rates.

Please house someone should kindly assist me with an answer. I have only 15days to submit this passport.

This is the exact content of the letter.

YOUR IMMIGRANT VISA(S) APPEAR(S) READY TO BE ISSUED, IF THERE HAS BEEN NO CHANGE IN YOUR FAMILY CONFIGURATION. IF THERE HAVE BEEN ANY CHANGES, PLEASE CONTACT OUR OFFICE BEFORE PROCEEDING.
PASSPORT(S)

You are asked to submit your passport(s) and documentation BY COURIER within 15 days. We recommend DHL courier, using a pre-paid return envelope.

OR

You may also use the services of VFS Global Ghana by following the instructions on their website at: http://www.vfsglobal.ca/canada/ghana/ under the “Passport Transmission Services” section.

Applicants residing in Nigeria (PASSPORT SUBMISSION ONLY)

You may use the services of VFS Global Nigeria by following the instructions on their website at:
http://www.vfsglobal.ca/canada/Nigeria/ under the “Passport Transmission Services” section. If you received a letter requesting additional documents, please use a courier service.

Please note that submission of passport(s) in person will not be accepted at the Canadian High Commission.

My question is If I can send the passport to the Canadian High Commission directly using a return envelop DHL or if I have to use VSF global?

Do I have to pay the transmission fee for either of the cases or for only VSF?

Furthermore, my family status has not changed yet the letter says I have to submit updated family information using form IMM8. Where do I get this form and should I fill it manually and attach to envelop containing my passport?

Lastly, the passport photograph requires a professional photograph with stamp and address. For this Naija so, in PHC precisely, were can one get such services. I usually used the normal road side guys but I give them the specifications and make sure they follow it to the latter.

Any other suggestions as to how to go about this last phase of the PR would be greatly appreciated.

Thank You.

Congratulations I think @dupyshoo explanation for @Babachi is applicable to you

I'm in the process of filling my e-APR and I have been rejected a UK visa in the past,

Please confirm if I will be answering YES to two statutory questions on the online form. Online there are two questions relating to refused visa but on the Schedule A form (hard copy), there is only one refused visa related question

You can enter the pool with it, but I am afraid, you will not have a very high score. I think you need to start thinking of re-writing. It is just a setback and you can surely bounce back once you are determined. All the best.

What if it's a gift deed from a parent
Blackbuddy:

Of course you should be prepared to evidence the source of the funds. The fact that you are routing it from someone to wife to PA may raise questions though so be prepared with a good explanation if they ask to know the origin of the funds. LOE does not always answer the concern of the reviewing officer, you should prepare adequate explanation and evidence of source.

To be honest and looking from the perspective of past experiences, Nigerians are not known to use gift deed for POF. This is a new practice our people are copying from other VOs so it's a bit of a grey area. And because the applicants using it is on the rise, we are seeing a lot more requests for clarification on source of POF from AVO. The use of gift deed is a delicate situation which should be approached on a one-on-one basis and not the copy paste that a lot people are doling now.

That being said, a nice looking scenario would be for the applicant to provide say, around 80% of the POF and then make up the balance through gift deed. This looks good an paper especially as the applicant is supposed to be an 'experienced skilled' worker who has the capacity to have built up the funds from years of working. Go back and look at the profiles of people who passed through the PR process successfully, you'll see that what a good number of them have in common is that their past income makes sense for them to have the POF they presented.

A situation where somebody who is supposed to be an experienced skilled worker is presenting POF that is composed of 80% or more from a gift and only 20% or less from their past work income, ofcourse you can expect questions during processing. This is just an opinion please but a point to ponder for someone out there. I'm sure that someone who successfully used gift deed can tell us what percentage of their gift deed made up their POF and how much they personally contributed from their income/savings, this would be nice. Hope this makes sense.

I understand how you feel. I also thought I should have had a better score in my writing.
Writing is one of the components with a higher probability of getting an increased band if remarked.
Whats you CRS score with these results?
You can request for a remark if you are very sure you should have done better, but be prepared to wait up to 8 weeks to get the results.
You may also consider rewriting the exam if you have the means.
