The Itsekiris are bordered by the Edo and Ilajes towards the north
Urhobo to the east and ijaws to the south

The atlantic bothers to the west

That map is not correct and i see it as an eye measurement map lol..

Nice write up from.the OP

reason I pointed the error out on time.. before they mistake itseke land for ijaw.. a stitch in time save 9.

Andoni people are not Ijaws even though they were influenced heavily by the Ijaw. They're also influenced by Ibibio and Ibo depending on which part of Andoni you find yourself.
Trust an Ibo man to be an expert in all things not Ibo, this is not Mbaise I'm talking about, Andoni is and will always be an Ijaw clan and everyone from there Identifies as such, influenced by Ibibio? Yes, who wouldn't be influenced by Ibibio in Akwaibom, but that doesn't change their founders from Ijaw to Ibibio

my brother I tire.... am not itsekiri, but I don't support nonsense.. the map even lump ilaje and a huge part of itsekiri as Ijaw land, all in a bid to connect with the little ijaw enclave in ondo and edo.

the guy you quoted knows nothing about Niger Deltans.

you are not an ijaw man, you just one come here they cause wahala.

how is itsekiri land intertwined with ijaw land? , are you high?, itsekiri share boundary with ijaw same way she shares boundary with ilaje and urhobo.

itsekiri land belongs to itsekiri people.. don't come here and write rubbish. I don't support nonsense.

I faulted the earlier map because itsekiri land and ilaje land were map under izon, why I think was wrong.

See boundary expert.

This is y i laugh Urhobo boyz 4 nairaland.

U dont even know anything about western Ijaw territory.

Andoni just like Ogoni are not Ijaw, u shouldn't claim minority groups amongst minorities as Ijaw.

the itsekiri no doubt share boundary with Ijaw, but the map I quoted is not correct, Itsekiri is not landlocked like the picture portray, below is what itsekiri land looks like.

They are bounded to the west by the Atlantic ocean, and to the south by ilaje

if you think am wrong you can please provide proof we are learning, I gat itsekiri native here who can verify your claim (0nu waje)

Andoni just like Ogoni are not Ijaw, u shouldn't claim minority groups amongst minorities as Ijaw.
I never said Ogoni people are Ijaw, anyone saying Andoni isn't Ijaw is just ignorant. The Obolos are proud Ijaws and do not have identity crises unlike most tribes.

There is something u seem to forget wen talking about Itsekiri.

They are also an Ijoid group. Itsekiri are basically Ijaw mixed with Yoruba.

In itsekiri land, it is common to find ijaw settlement.

Shut your trap there, Itsekiri is an Ijoid group since when?
You are suffering from cognitive dissonance, all in your bid to promote an Igbo agenda.

You are disagreeing with an Ijaw man (Nengibo) in some posts, and also supporting Ijaws against Itsekiris in another post with Efewestern and Onuwaje.

Agent of confusion.

from your map it is safe to say itsekiri have been identified as a separate kingdom even before the Name Nigeria was formed.

also do you notice ilaje , some part of ijaw , urhobo and isoko were map under Edo?, meaning some part of Yoruba were consider edo territory, grin

The ilaje are more of itsekiri than Edo, the colonial masters need their head checked.

this map is more like linguistic group. (Yoruboid)

No doubt yoruboid extend to SS and NC, but the map is also at fault, the ijaw group in ondo were Map under Yoruba.

what do you think?,
