No, most of them did not keep their first pregnancy to draw public sympathy, they kept it because they were either not "wise" enough to have an abortion or they had a conscience thing going on. However, pregnancy and having a baby outside wedlock in a society like Nigeria changed them. It is a very difficult position, They saw that the hypocrisy was too much (same people that are anti abortion also shame unmarried moms), they are constantly shamed and it's better not to have another child outside wedlock.

Does it mean that most unmarried girls have not had series of abortions? They are just "wise" enough to have an abortion and not become single moms.

You are talking to someone who was raised by a single mum, who was dumped by her husband's relatives and whom everyone expected to amount to nothing in life. I have cousins, who were raised in a "complete home" and today, you won't know they were raised in a "complete home".
I agree it is ideal to grow in a "complete home" but what makes the difference is parental love, guidance and discipline.

the question is why would they do that? I lost my dad at a young age, and my family was very vicious towards my mum, but guess what..my mum tarried and in less than 5years those same belligerents began to rally around her so much after they realised she didn't take my dads kids(us) and disappear. She kept taking us back even when we began to tell her going back wasn't worth it, today were so grateful she forced us to know our roots. Irrespective of the fact she was getting trouble from them she put us before herself. Cos wed gave been lost kids. Now she's respected and loved there, ask ur peeps wht really happened, did she put her comfort before u ppl. Ask

I quoted you, NOT because you made anything worthy of analysis but to show how archaic and inane your beliefs were.

It does however seem that the issues goes deeper than beliefs as you don't seem to be able to differentiate between fact and inference. You will benefit from learning about these things and how they are used.

This is not an attack thread but based on personal experience.

Came across some single moms who do abortion alot.

They kept their first pregnancy to draw public sympathy as "despite all odds, she kept the baby" etc

Subsequently they continue their reckless behavior and keep aborting with justification as "how can I have two kids without marriage" etc

It's really a sad trend.
I am a single mum,a body count of one,have been single for years....can't remember when last I hugged talk more of kissed.
So is not all single ladies that are wayward
