if you want your smartphone to charge faster, just put it on airplane mode, same applies when it's low, switching your phone on and off actually uses more battery power, also you can put it on airplane mode

Or you can buy a third party cable (a braided one, preferably) from Anker or Aukey. I have one and it's awesome!

I think the fake amazon chargers are already in, the one I got recently is now very slow. My galaxy Note 3 increases by 1% in 20mins
