Laureokafor:Of course, you are qualified to apply. For UI, there are many departments you can apply for; however, I'll suggest MPH in Health Promotion and Education based on your first degree. The form will be out in a few weeks or months, so you can obtain yours then. |

Please, I just finished a degree in Microbiology from OAU. Fortunately or Unfortunately, with a 2.2. I am yet to go for NYSC(which would probably be the next batch). I intend going for a masters in public health (in UI, if chance is given) and this page is very helpful. Please I would like to know what chances I have, plus I read about 2 years of experience. Please where do I get that from? Please enlighten me, I know next to nothing and I am hungry for knowledge. |

Hi.... This thread has been very helpfull,Thanks to everyone that has responded so far. Please i'm a microbiology b.sc holder, l'm considering epidermiogy and bio statistics but i've never been a fan of maths, and statistics was the dreaded course in school. So please i just want to know how much of statistics is involved in epidermiology and biostatistics. Thank you. |
Re: Careers In Public Health by Sard(m): 2:54pm On Jun 25, 2017 |
miss20:If you truly dread maths and statistics, you may have to look elsewhere because as a student of epid and biostats, you can't do without those courses. As a matter of fact, all MPH students at the U.I do biostats in the first semester, so you may have reconsider your options. |

For those interested in U.I PGD for the next academic session, application form is out. |
Re: Careers In Public Health by Sard(m): 2:59pm On Jun 25, 2017 |
umimer:I doubt it because most departments only want graduates with 2.1 or 2.2 with a cgpa of at least 3.0. However, you may contact the UI PGD school to get more details. |
