So you can't blame us for killing every mosquito we see and choosing to let some snakes go scot free. At least we also know that up to 90% of snakes are non poisonous.
you serious?

I just am still feeling somehow. Let me start from the top.

I moved into a new flat in Benin City recently. But I left my things in my other apt in Lagos. So I am still putting the House in order. I only have my electronics in the parlour but the rooms have been fixed up. I also have paid the guys making the seats but they are yet to finish up so in d interim I am using the carton of my TV to lay in the parlour while I watch TV whenever I'm home.

So this morning, I woke up said my prayers and stepped into the parlour. Opened the front door briefly and locked it, went back to my bathroom and washed my mouth. Then came back into the parlour to watch morning news.

I layed on the carton as I always do, but I was feeling some movement beneath the foamed part where I rest my head, at first I felt it was the from adjusting but on a second thought I got up to arrange it.

As I took the white foam up to shift it a little higher, lo and behold, a snake crawled out from beneath my "pillow". I felt like disappearing. I screamed snake and my cousin who came in yesterday ran out of his room and gallantly killed the snake.

Usually I don't get afraid, I killed animals and even went hunting in the past, but this was a close call. I've been so full of thanks to God. "Though I "sleep" on snakes...I shall not be bitten.

My chair must be finished tomorrow wether they like it or not. I've been patient enough.

Make Una thank God for me oo

is that not a sign showing that house is not good for you, you even wana bring in a chair quickly perhaps you have forgotten snakes crawl n climb or 2. how you sure snakes are no more there or wount find it way there?

I advice you allow a snake make its way into your boxer, then come share with us how you petted it so as to preserve wildlife
It didn't bite you all through the night, you could have sent it on its way. I doubt you are an igbo

The problem is not mosquito, it's malaria. If you like kill all the questions in the world, but if your environment is unkept, it will continue to breed malaria parasites, which will just hop on another vector as a transport mechanism.

Mosquito are harmless, FYI, there are still mosquitoes in the US, but malaria parasite have been vanquished. Only about 2,000 cases of malaria are reported in the US yearly (out of 300mil people) and these reported cases are from immigrants who just returned from their foreign home country....and in 2015, only about 63 cases of US locally transmitted malaria, these resulted from mosquitos in the US biting and transmitting the disease from the returnees above.

Please check out if there is a poultry close to the house. Poultry farms attract snake a lot

Nigerians don't obey the law about building poultry farms at least 500 meters from the human homes.
