"Nnamdi Kanu Disrespected Nnamdi Azikiwe" - Zikist Movement by Nobody: 4:03am On Jun 27, 2017
The Zikist Movement was shocked to get reports that Indigenous People Of Biafra Founder, Prince Nnamdi Kanu spoke with levity against Dr Nnamdi Azikiwe, The Great Zik Of Africa, in a recent interview with The Sun.

According to The Sun, Nnamdi Kanu made the following statement when he granted them an interview:

“People do not know that I love (former presidents Shagari and Yar’Adua more than I love (former president, Nnamdi Azikiwe) Zik. I’m saying this because when we were young and were growing up, the only notable person that built any notable infrastructure I saw with my two eyes was Shagari. The Enugu/Igweocha (that the white man named Port Harcourt) Expressway, was built by the National Party of Nigeria (NPN) government of Shagari and then you can travel with joy because it was smooth and very clean.

While we agree that Nnamdi Kanu is entitled to freedom of speech as enshrined in the Universal Declaration Of Human Rights and the Nigerian Constitution, we decry his decision to mention Zik of Africa in a statement that clearly did not concern Him.

No matter what anyone thinks about Zik, he would always be remembered as the Great Unifier and a Father of Nigeria’s Independence, a man whose contributions together with those of other founding fathers like him, led to the creation of the most populous country in Africa, the most populous black nation and a multicultural nation of over 400 languages.

Dr Nnamdi Azikiwe’s contributions to independent Nigeria are undeniable. For instance, in the area of education, he was directly responsible for the creation of Nigeria’s first indigenous university, the University of Nigeria, Nsukka.

Dr Nnamdi Azikiwe, through his moral standing, was able to inspire the formation of the Zikist Movement which had a huge following from across the length and breadth of Nigeria, as early as the 1940s. These include our former presidents Kola Balogun and Habib Raji Abdallah among other great Zikist veterans dead and alive. Only a truly detribalized leader like Zik could inspire such following.

Dr Nnamdi Azikiwe's status as a nationalist was noted even by his fierce political opponents. It is for this reason that one of his biggest opponents, Sir Abubakar Tafawa Balewa made sure Zik got the honour of becoming the first man in history whose name would be mentioned in the constitution of a sovereign country. Therefore no one, no matter how highly placed can bring Zik down from the high pedestal on which history has placed him.

Prince Nnamdi Kanu should be properly guided.

Signed:
Prince Charles Offokaja,
President,
Zikist Movement

Of course Kanu can't be a Zik fan. What else should a "Zikist" expect?

Zik was the person who destroyed the ancestral unity between the Igbos and their neighbors

Zik abandoned his people in their hour of distress

Zik has no honor and pride

Zik never stood by his principle

Zik was easily moved out of the truth he knows all because of his desire to be famous

Ojukwu is more honored than Zik

What is the moral of the lesson

Never depart from the truth you know no matter the pressure you face.

Zik lived in cloud cuckoo land, trying to be a nationalist - something that was a clear mirage.

The Nigerian state doesn't encourage nationalism so you shouldn't expect the Igbos to jubilate on hearing the mention of Zik, a supposed nationalist.

Awolowo was a parochial leader and as a consequence, he was (and till date, still) celebrated by the Yorubas. Tafawa Belewa was to the north what Awolowo was to the west.

Instead of Zik copying from these people, he was busy trying to be a nationalist.

No tribe has ever been
fooled with the "One Nigeria" concept like the Igbos...yes, Rochas will be its next causality.

Nnamdi Kanu didn't insult Zik...he merely shared the view of an average Igbo man about Zik. Late Ojukwu, a sectional leader, was worshipped and respected more in the east.

Its truly sad when these guys are so emotional. Instead of breaking down they arguements they throw ethnic jabs. It's shows people like him are mere cult members since they will never be brains of operation.

Other took time to respectfully disagree with actual justification and retorts to opinion.

Exactly. no original idea. imagine!! he's been programmed to just scream afonja as soon as he sees any news that contradicts the lies he's being told. Even his relatives that are a bit more objective and contradict his default position like some on this thread are also afonja cheesy

Its comical and at the same time tragic!!

With the way some posters are justifying what he said, I'm very sure if Nnamdi Kanu tells them they are bastards and their parents Orang Utans, they'd tell us how so right he is.

This is a classic definition of a Zombie.

Nnamdi Kanu can NEVER BE WRONG. grin

Have you ever seen a true Igbo man praised Zik

Why do you think we honor Ojukwu above Zik

Zik is like Awolowo who knew the truth, said the truth but never stood with the truth

Stupid thread, so Kanu saying he likes Shagari more than Zik has become an 'insult'? People should get sense.
