As an undergraduate in a University, there are moments we feel like the whole world is against us and there are moments when we feel on top of the world.

One of such events that can create such moments is the release of a result. We have heard cases where students break down in tears or in a worse case commit suicide on seeing a result.

But on this thread we are going to look at the positive side of seeing a result. Yeah! that moment you see the result of one of your courses and you're like 'damn! I rule the world'

So in this thread we're gonna be sharing the highest score we ever got in a course as an undergraduate.

to get the ball rolling, I'll start

My highest was in Engineering Thermodynamics(CHE201), 97A

When your mates are getting perfect score, 100. Olodo.

Anyone that can really score 97 in Thermo should be graduating with nothing less than 4.9 CGPA.

That you couldn't do it doesn't mean it's impossible

I wish I knew what I scored in thermodynamics (i got an A tho), maybe I'd have been able to buttress the OP's point. The 200L thermodynamics was cool because I attended tutorials in the course and even at the tail end of our preparations for the exams, I made series of contributions to our tutor and it enabled him to solve some questions that proved difficult for him. Our tutor got a B the previous year but I, a student he took tutorials, ended up doing better. We were two that made As in the course from my department.

Metallurgical Thermodynamics (300L) was even far more difficult than the Mechanical one (200L). But I and that guy still made As. But judging from what the lecturer told us "we managed to get As in his course", I knew my grade was about 70-73..

Actually, why I believe I did extraordinarily well in many of my deparrmental courses was because the lecturers almost always showered accolades on me; saying I was the beat in their courses. One even gave me a text book as a gift.

The bold said enough of my earlier conviction.

And by the way, I didn't mean to score an A in Thermo is impossible. Couple of guys, about 3 of them in my dept. made As. But an A of 97? Ah ah.

Every Engineering student, if not every student, know that sometimes scoring high depends more on how simple a lecturer decides to make the exam questions. We all know this but the double standard of " they gave me" when we score low and "I got" when we smash high will never allow us to admit the truth.

Just like my Fluid Mechanics, I also had 84 in Introduction to Electrical Engineering but won't even rate it at all because I knew the lecturer watered down the standard.

It happens all the time. Some lecturers let you off the hook while some make you sweat.

I'm inclined to think the latter handled that Thermo that recorded 97.

I got an A even in the most difficult thermodynamics course I ever did in my life (Metallurgical Thermodynamics 300L) how much more the introductory part (200L).

Who are you to dictate what is standard and what is not? If I'm to go by your reasoning, then I'd say that you'd have gotten CO a coupe of times if you had done Strength of Materials in ABU (and taught by Prof Aku). Do you even have the reasoning to acknowledge the fact that people had/have preferences when it came/comes to certain courses. I loved thermodynamics and I made As (albeit a strenuous A in Metallurgical Thermodynamics) in both courses so, deal with it.

Leave that guy and others saying you can't score so so mark in a course or a school.
Even the Control engineering he's talking about, I had 88. The least of my control scores was 84

If I hear say anybody get near 90 for any philosophy core course then u are a wizard

At least we hear of cases of Nigerians being the best graduating student in universities abroad and they beat the white guys flat, I should tell you we actually have brains in Nigeria, we just don't know.

Taxation should be the cheapest course as an accounting student. Change of accounting date, cessation, commencement and petroleum tax, company income tax and capital allowance etc. Anyway is personal sha cos it goes paripasu with advance financial accounting.


You maybe good in management accounting cos back then our lecturer died in between and till today is so difficult cos I've not really worked on that line either. That's why I said its personal cos to me taxation is so simple while mangt account is like a thug of war

i prefer management accounting because to me its very cheap.....but taxation was hell for me.......

In my school if u get A for existentialism then u are a big genius not to talk of 100 ask any AAUAist 2015/2016 set

In one of my departmental courses back then when I was a sophomore, I scored 72 with a remark of A+. Since then I did not score anything like that until I graduated.

don't be surprised I got 7A's 1B year one first semester. n dis bastards come spoil my fine result with an 'E' grade. wetin I no ever dream to get for school. till date I never get D for school talk less of an E. I am working on a way to retake dat course or d lecturer should give me my deserving grade.. till date each time I look at my results n I see dat 'E'. I do hold myself from crying. it was my last exam for d semester n I prepared so hard for dat course, because it took me 5 days to prepare for it.
