Some guys are struggling, so they don't want a situation where the woman/wife starts berating them for not having money.

I absolutely pity women from the East, especially Imo. Bride price and money spent on marriage introduction procedures alone makes one wonder whether the potential wife has diamonds and oil well in her "playground".

However, it is evident that the country is hard so single men are just careful. The single ladies too should be patient, pray to God and never worry about situations they themselves cannot help; after all marriage isn't everything as some people regret ever getting married.
Best wishes

Ladies pray to God to lead to a and a boy and note that it's not age that makes a man. No matter the economy men always marry but even in the most prosperous economy, boys will always have reasons why they cannot marry. And as for you ladies, be a woman that a man can marry.

It is real sha. But some of those women too raised the bar so high that men of average means and reasonable men get scared. But why is it that the interview only centered on our sisters from the East in Lagos?

why will someone marry a lady like you for instance ? Only for you to call their mother a witch. This is the very reason men are scared to get married.

I think finding the right girl to marry is the problem here.

No man wants to marry a woman who is after his money alone.

For the past 1 yr now, all u have been seeing is fair face and dark body parts. Meaning that our women ain't real( fake). Who wants to spend so much on bride price only to end up with a fake girl?

In the west that you're so eager to emulate, they're suffering from a shortage of lasting marriages. Most of them are putting programs in place to encourage marriage and child-bearing.

Where have you heard that a country appointed a minister of sex? Yes. It happened in Spain of recent.

Somewhere in Denmark or so, a travel company rolled out a vacation package that a parent can buy for his/her son/daughter to go on with a person of opposite sex with the hope that someone will get pregnant while they're away.

Marriage is a priority if a people must survive. There is a problem, but pretending that marriage is not worth its weight in gold won't make it go away.

Ok. For most men, it's fear of being financially incapable. For others, it's not meeting the kind of women they want. But honestly, if we want to remedy this situation, it's not so much a hard thing. Return most of the jobs to the men and by so doing, you'd be empowering them financially to take up responsibility.

Give the job to a woman who becomes comfortable and starts searching for a partner who refuses to turn up because he doesn't want to be seen as incapable and a gold digger. At the end, he remains single and she remains single.

Give the job to a man and empower him financially to take up responsibility and he gets married and can afford to take care of his wife from it. She gets off the single market and so does he.

Looking at both scenarios, which makes more sense? Obviously the second. But unfortunately, we live in an era where more jobs are being assigned to the women and at the end of the day, the society at large ends up suffering it.
this this the best comment I have ever seen in my life, I mean it. it is the best, u deserve an award
