sad

This is so sad. I remember when growing up that this show was a constant weekly show for us. My dad made us watch it until we fell in love with it.

I remember the first questions that they use to pick contestants where they ask them to rearrange C, D, A, B. For my mind, the Shit is easy now.grin

I remember the hot seat, how the questions to the first "safe spot" was usually easy yet some will use lifeline. Some even miss some questions and walk away with nothing. For me, them stupid o...

I remember when one professor finally won the #10 milla jackpot. Omo see celebrationgrin. Like say he came from our house.

All them usual 30 seconds callers and how sometimes all they say is "hello, I can't hear you" and how Frank will keep everyone in suspense with his commercial breaks...

That show cannot close down. Part of me and I believe many other Nigerians will go numb if it does. There are shows of the moment and shows of the lifetime.

Who wants to be a millionaire is the latter.
So right!! I remember that 10 million win show. In fact I still remember the question. It was about Fidel Castro. Kai!! Time really tick ooo!!

You must really be so so young. Well, I am one person that will forever be so grateful to MTN for sponsoring the show. Although, I did not get to the hot seat, I am usually part of the audience a lot of times and I won nothing less than 260,000 naira from the fastest finger audience play and that went a long way in helping me during my school days. I remember leaving my house as early as 4:30am every 2 weeks Saturday to make the slot for the audience at the Ogba studio. I remember having multiple studio tags such that I could attend another studio session same day in case I fail to win 20,000 naira in my first show. I remember winning 20,000 naira severally and giving my keypad to complete strangers because I have won so many times and cannot win again. I remember Mr. Wale, the chief security man at the studio. I remember Anthonia, Seye and the rest of the crew. I remember travelling down from my Uni almost every weekend to make the show. I remember scripting the English alphabets on one side of my wallet so that I can get to recite it regularly. I remember introducing at least, 10 friends to the show who ended up winning on the audience play game.

Point of correction, the winner of the 10 million naira is not a Professor. His name is Aroma Ufodike. I was at the studio the day he won. I was in that particular session. In fact, before we went into the studio, I was right beside him and I remember telling him to tone down the puffs from his cigarette. He was under pressure and I guess puffing the cigar was his way of calming down. The security had to stop him before he complied. He was a business man then and he deals with irons. He studied something related to Geography.

One thing the experience with Aroma taught me is that, never underrate anyone. Imagine someone I was hitherto thinking was constituting a nuisance being filled with such repertoire of knowledge and going on to win the ultimate prize.

You guys will just be so quick to say trash you do not know anything about based on hearsay and women crying fowl to the media for any little thing. As wicked as the devil is, he wont just go and beat someone if he marries. The question you partial folks always fail to ask any woman that is being beaten regularly is " HOW COME YOU ARE SO BEATABLE"? I doubt if there is anyone that will suddenly raise a hand to a well behaved woman.

Really. What are the procedures to become part of the audience?
I think I answered questions correctly on their FB page, was invited to participate as an audience and I won 20k in audience play.

I don't think people really watch the show like before anymore

Besides, even if the show don't stop., I had expected that Frank would have left the show by now to explore something else. I expected him to have gotten tired of it by now.

Frank's role in Jonathan's re-election campaign using WHO WANTS TO BE A MILLIONAIRE against Buhari and APC may have caused MTN to pull out. Frank became political with the program. APC has hit him back. grin grin grin grin

I don't think the first person to win 10m (arioma was his name) was a professor. I really agree with you. I actually haven't watched it in a while because i forgot the time it was aired but it's a show that shouldn't be stopped for anything. Those are the types of shows that organizations should be sponsoring not empty, immoral shows like BB Nigeria.
