Plenty good news on the thread. Congratulations.
I have a bit of sad news. So my Canada application is put on hold at the moment due to family issues beyond my control. That's the much I can share. So I won't be submitting my PPR profile.

Don't know when I will resume or resubmit my profile. I will also take a break from answering questions. Am sure there are sufficient people to answer.

I really wish everyone a successful application.

Hmmmm I don't like this at all sis! I don't think anything or anyone should make us do away with something that clearly gives us joy or makes us happy...
I'm running a lot scenarios in my head about what the issue beyond your control maybe but I'm coming short of viable ideas....
Please think about it properly and evaluate. Once you receive COpr you can land to receive PR card and comeback then you can further treat your PR card like a greencard and go once every 6 months. This is an opportunity and sometimes it may never be presented to us again.
I wish you well in whatever you decide.

You said the same thing I wanted to say, so there is no need repeating it. My dear sister, think about this before you make that decision, no matter what it is, there is always a way out. Remember you are not only doing this for yourself, but for generations to come. Pls and pls, don't throw this away. Goodluck sis.

Hey fam...
How is it going. Please i need a bit of clarification, the pof i submitted then was 21671 as at that times rate. I noticed they have increased the pof to 21862. When i checked my equivalent pof today on xe.com it is now 21841 as against 21862.
I attached my pension as additional cash before plus the 21841.my question is do i still need to add the 21canadian dollars or my additional pension of about 500canadian dollar is enough.

All I know about you is that you are purposeful.Family situations are very sensitive things to deal with but I like the comfort that decisions and choices are made as objectively and with as much 'head' before 'heart'. Don't rush!

Greetings all,

I am getting the vibes that self employment is not welcome in Canada?

I run my own baby products and kids clothing store
I am registered as an enterprise, I have a brick and mortar store and an e commerce website.

I pay my taxes.

I have a separate business bank account.

I also have 6 yrs working experience as an accountant previously.

I just received NOI from Ontario, is it possible that any issues be raised as per current employment status, me running my company?

please elders, help me touchlight this matter.

boldinc:
There is nothing wrong with being unemployed at the moment... Falsifying salary payments is misinterpretation. All CIC requires is 3 years working experience within the last 10 years. It doesn't have to be a current job.

Just get reference letters in both cases for the most recent work experience.

Hell no..their charges are same irrespective of the number of certificates. So if u assess only MBA u save money from paying for HND and ACCA transcripts and possible verifications.

Thanks for the insightful comments. A friend who already has an ECA with WES decided to do a course by course evaluation.Guess what. WES sent him a mail that they are awaiting verification from his institution. He was shocked and inquired why.. They responded by saying what they did during ECA is to verify your certificate. Now they are verifying his transcript. I find that approach ridiculous. The young man is now trying to follow up with his Naija school, same horrible process he experiencced at first..

My conclusion is that you should look at the pros and con's, speed, favorable assessment and all before u choose WES or IQAS.

please do you know how much WES charged him extra for the course by course? did he need to resend his transcript?

My dearest, Biko Ehn, do all in your power to up your funds. I'm not keen on pension because I fear even CIC knows its not liquid cash and can only be available after four months of unemployment which means you will have ready reached Canada. And even though 21dollars seems small it's still below limit.

If you can, please Aim for at least 1000 CAD USD above the limit. You can add this month's salary, or sell that lovely gold jewelry that has been sitting in your trinket box. I'm not in support of borrowing so that if you are ever asked for updated POF you will still have the funds.

You have come too far to fall short.

Hi everyone, Anyone with an answer to my question

Basically which one is your last name. As long as your last name was correct in the slot you do not have much to worry about. you just write a LOE for this mistake. A similar thing happened to my son and I clicked on other names known and wrote his first name, then i attached a LOE signed by both of us (my spouse and I) explaining the error. I noticed that the error was corrected after I got Medical passed in the name list and the right name was spelt and arranged.

Good morning all,

I want to apply for UK PCC and they are requesting for proof of current address. Was thinking if I can use my drivers license since it shows my full name and current address.

Please advice.

Thanks

I used drivers license for hubby and it was accepted. second proof of address was a bank statement of less than six months. You can also use bank statement from two different banks, which was wat I used for myself.

Hope this helps.
