I thought direct masters programme is 2.1 (2nd class upper) and above only? I recently advised a friend that his 3.28 (which is 2nd class lower) in biz admin can not give him masters in biz admin unless he do PGD. Please help clarify me let me call him before it's late. Thanks

yes, Unilag accepts even third class for some masters course like MBA, MPIA...

Depends on what the op wants, you can choose to do PGD first if u av time and if the school u want don't accept your CGPA.

in the end, its money making that matters most.

first class or pass, sha make money.

l guess u misled him because he can comfortably get an M.sc in his school.

I have read some of the lies written here. Guy, you are completely safe. I had a 2.47 and have done my MBA (OAU) and My M.Sc, (UNILAG). Your score does not determine your success. Continue to aspire and succeed.

Baba 2.4 for unilag NA third class, second class starts from 2.5 upward.

You can do your masters with 3rd even in Unilag, I had 3rd class Civil engineering UNN and I did my masters direct without any PGD in civil and environmental engineering (Water Resources option) unilag 2011 set. I went and pick PGD form, even wrote the exam and passed, then when I went for my registration, I was told I can do my masters direct provided I've up to 2.40 cgpa, that was how I switched over to MSc direct from PGD.

Capital NO. UI, OAU, UNIBEN, NO STANDARD SCHOOL WILL TAKE THAT EXCEPT MAY BE SOME MUSHROOM SCHOOLS LOOKING FOR MONEY. PGD FIRST BEFORE MASTERS. MY WIFE WITH EVEN ABOVE 3.00 IS STILL STRUGGLING AND NOT YET CONSIDERED

she is struggling not because of her cgpa but maybe some factors like incomplete referees, late transcript submission or her o level is not one sitting

No. Postgraduate diploma is the available option

I'm afraid no any federal university in Nigeria will accept you, 2.2 on 3.00 is the entry requirement for any master.
anything less than 3.00 will have to do Post graduate diploma first, before going for msc

Unn did similar thing in 2015 by accepting 2.5

OP, You can do your masters in any university in Nigeria provided your certificate carries 2.2.

It will surprise you that a lot of people condemning the OP are either 3rd class products or are still undergraduates..Very funny people.

They're telling the truth. Most universities wouldn't accept nothing less than 3.0

A friend of mine finished with 2.49 which is a third class. Affected him badly. He read accounting

Another friend finished with a 3.49 GPA , the highest possible 2nd class one can receive. He read Law. He is the company secretary to a bank

You can also go for professional I.C.T. RELATED COURSES. Or other professionals

That grade score can't be the lowest, you can't be too sure. Prolly some schools have a different grade rating. In my school, 2.4 - 3.49 is awarded as second class lower.

Master of Education Educational Administration - (Full Time / Part-Time)
Entry Requirement:
Candidate must possess a Bachelor's honours degree in Education from this University or any other recognized institution

or

A Bachelor's honours degree in any other discipline other than Education with a Postgraduate Diploma in Education or Educational Administration and Planning from the University of Lagos or any other recognized institution.

That's the University of Lagos requirement.

Its not just your school, its the entire Nigeria or all schools under the NUC.
