once she tastes water, she just pushes away the bottle.

We have never had constipation issues until this morning, her poop was in a 'pebble' form, though not very hard per se.
I just wanted to change her diaper when she woke up and I saw the poop..

My elder sis says i shld give her diluted ribena to sweeten the water - ...My dd is just 7 months + 1 week, so i'm thinking it's too early
My mum says give her orange juice - Mr google said it's acidic for babies

So give her water from a straw cup instead of sippy cup.

He might not like ogi or custard.
Try the food you eat. The flavour of what we eat passes on through breastmilk so they easily recognise the food.

Try Amala with Okro or ewedu garnished with Titus fish or pounded meat.
Soft rice with butter or mashed egg yoke.
Eggs, fried or boiled are always a hit.
Potatoes, sweet or Irish.
Boiled or fried yam with Pepperless tomato stew with crayfish in it.
Anything you eat, put some in his mouth.
You might have to sing and dance to get him to eat sha o.

If they give you coke bottle and then when you drink instead of coke it is water... imagine your disappointment. it is probably the same for her.

Change the mode of giving her the water, rather than use a fedding bottle, why not try a sippy cup with a very different tip the usual bottle, straw ( as mama Zaynie suggested, or just a normal cup.

she is too young for ribena in my own opinion. besides do not start what you cannot continue or finish. the day there is no ribena... that means baby will not drink water. or if you start on the assumption that they do not like water now you will continue giving them drinks which are unhealthy. at this age the drink options should be milk and Water ONLY

plus it is not good for their tender teeth. tooth decay in children from using bottles to such sweet or acid drinks is a real issue.... google bottle caries to gross yourself out.

I went to market to buy things to cook.
I got to where I usually buy meat the woman hadn't come. Then I went to another place. Apparently I went too early
So I went to buy other things
Came back I saw the woman setting up
As I was waiting with others there I started feeling dizzy. I tried to rest on a table no way.
So one woman noticed and gave me chair to sit on.
The thiing kept getting worse. She then rushed to buy sprite put salt and gave me to drink
It started raining. By then so many attention
Someone stop keke to take me home I said they shouldnt worry that I came in a car.
The keke kept waiting
I later gave the man #200 to go cos he waited for sometime and he was getting upset.
One woman was just praying and another making sure I don't sleep.
Well I became ok after sometime.
It was raining and I sat under the rain cos I couldn't move till I regain consciousness.
I was able to drive home but I couldn't buy all I needed to buy.
I ate and breast feed my baby before leaving home so dont know what could have caused it.

For constipation, prune juice is bae. My baby pediatrician recommended it for me after delivery that I couldn't poo for up to one week. And poo was easy after taking it. It also works for babies. They will surely suck it out from your b***st

@ enque, I don't think a little diluted orange juice once in a while is bad.
Concerning the water issue, my children don't like sippy cups. They either use straw cups or normal adult cups. You can actually try giving her water from your cup or try these disposable cups that make noise. She may like it. Hope this helps.

Give him paracetamol syrup immediately before leaving home and 6hrs later. My lo only cried as the nurse administered the vaccine. She didn't cry afterward or have raised temperature.

I hope this would be my portion tomorrow cuz it's also immunisation day for us and thinking of it just makes me panic and she now has this heartbreaking cough that's just painful to listen to, don't wanna have to deal with that and a fever tomorrow.

Hello mamas, I'm currently freaking out here o. My 6 month old son is going to have his circumcision next week, he could not have it done at birth because d doctors thought he might have hypospadias, but he does not. This circumcision is going to involve general anesthesia not local one like he would have used if it was done at birth. Abeg, who has done circumcision this late to put my mind at ease?!!

A few tea spoons of orange/ diluted Ribena won't harm baby in the case of constipation! I have used it for my sons in the past and no ish!

As long as it isn't a daily occurrence she should be fine!
