Victoria University tuitions is very good and you only pay for 1st semester in Australia mostly. search tafe in Victoria as well.

Thank you for your encouragement,I was asking because I saw jegz1 who applied around mid April and has gotten no response yet till now as he/She said today.i believe DIBP should work on the time they posted on their website and also try to consider resumption dates for students.if they will either grant or not it should be known as they are professionals and no amount of applications should hinder them from giving an accurate attention to applicants. Just my own opinion and maybe a complain could be made about this.the services is being paid for and also tuition is being paid so proper regard should be given to applications.ive studied the Way they've been neglecting apps and it's not encouraging .@sanity100 what's your take on this sir.
bestdiddy:
Thing is, we kinda believe that the High Commission at Pretoria has a lot of applications they are working on, especially as that Pretoria office handles applications (students visa and other visa classes) from most countries in Africa. So don't be deterred. As you have rightly read in this thread, the key thing is applying to the school early, ensuring that all documents are in order and not faked, and applying for the visa early enough. If all your docs are fine and you apply in Feb/Mar to resume July, I see no reason why you won't get the visa by May/June.

Lol you all will get yours soonest. Airport was fine, no issues in Lagos airport. Went on a 7 hour flight to Dubai, had a four hour stop over. Left Dubai for Sydney(13hour flight), DIBP at Sydney asked for my yellow card and they asked if I carried anything prohibited and I said no and that was it. Waited for a five hour stop over and left sydney for Wagga Wagga.
Visa grants will roll in this week by his grace. Amen, remember stay hopeful

Amen

For most people the delay might come from the bank, I applied April 27th, They requested for statement and I replied May 23rd, they sent a mail to the bank to confirm May 26th and guess when the bank replied June 30th, I know this because I used to work with the bank so I had my friends find out what was happening from within the bank. Funny thing is after they sent a mail to the bank on May 26th, They sent two reminders on June 15th and June 29th. Thats an additional 34 days because someone at the bank didnt do his job. I hope the statement is the last thing they ask for though and I get my visa this week. It has been a crazy ordeal waiting, so keep hoping for the best everyone.

TULLOP:
@KVickky @jegz1 .what could be the reason for this excessive amount in delay and please to other gurus in the house, what could be the reason. I've been following this thread as im about to apply to a sch I Aussie but waiting on my transcript and ut seems they process apps differently because some people applied after them and got the visa already. Is there no way to reach out to Australia high commission in Aussie itself on this issue since it's a student visa and resumption is closeby.

Lol, same question I asked my friend. Which is why it's advised you don't touch the money especially if it's a fixed deposit till your visa is approved.

You don't want this people reading unnecessary meanings to innocent withdrawals from your sponsors account.

I think this is the best thing I've read here in a while. If our grants are still pending and we have a way to communicate with our banks let's do, the delay might be coming from there.

Re: General Australian Student Visa Enquiries Part 3 by rooney(m): 4:40pm On Jul 05, 2017
Honestly if your friends got a mail their statement was manipulated then it was def manipulated.

This is a sample workflow:
1. You print a statement from the bank
2. You send to embassy
3. Embassy sends a copy of the statement back to the bank to verify
4. The bank (usually the systems and control unit) then proceeds to spool another copy of the same statement and compares
5. If both statement are the same, they let the embassy know it's authentic
6. Else, they tell the embassy it has been manipulated and not authentic.

So the embassy will only tell you its manipulated if the bank said its manipulated.

JoeDuch:
aiit Wayne Rooney, pls can u throw more light on how and what the embassy verifies as an experienced banker. two frds of mine got a mail from the embassy asking why der statement of account was manipulated......pls reply

exactly my thoughts. I wonder how long it will take some universities to respond to mail should in case EMBASSY sends one to verify certificates. Seriously some of these delays are caused by our own people.

Bro, I can't do that cos next thing it's everywhere on social media and I honestly don't want the banks name dragged.

However, it's one of the top five banks in the country. That's all.

If financial institution can take so long based on @rooney, then how long do you think the universities or polytechnic will take ?

The most easy for them to verify is the waec or neco due to scatch card.

Documents from our sides are hard to verify compared to other developed countries when you can verify easily online.

Based on experience embassy will only ask banks the following questions in addition to sending the bank statement back to them

Please answer yes or no

Is the bank statement issued by your bank ?

Is the owner of the account aware that his bank statement is been used ?

Is the bank statement with the same with what you have on your system ?

A genuine bank statement will be yes to all three.

It is advisable that people desist from using fake documents has it affects genuine applicants.
