Well there is no part in their congratulatory letter that the money is a loan....
It only said that successful candidates with conpetitive business plan will be given a grant
And I believe there is a clear different between grant and loan.

Exactly, a grant is different from loan.
This project is new in fadama, unlike other fadama project and we are the first set to test run this so I think we should all hold on and wait for the outcome.

What we're told by our state Coodinator during the screening is that, the total selection per State is 300 people, but 200 people will benefit directly from the Fadama project and the remaining 100 people the Fadama people will link them directly to various financial institutions for loans and stand as there grantor

Educate me, if a business plan isn't good enough for a government grant, which financial institution will then agree to sponsor such business?

We are all still speculating here and there based on the alleged time. Maybe we just wait for their emails or official notifications. But i remembered during a Cbn training hundreds of participants were accommodated in Nysc camps and segmented into smaller groups but i hate that method due to the poor welfare that follows...Let linger a little for their mails

different facilities will be used depending on the agro business you applied for, cos there will be practical learning too...

please is the timetable of the training pasted earlier in the thread for real? please can someone confirm if its genuine so that one can start making preparation towards it.

Besides isn't strange that we are yet to be notify for a training that will supposedly commence on the 9th? Today is already 4th

I listened to a radio station program in Oyo state some mins ago and the permanent Secretary to the ministry of Agriculture said the fadamaguys program will give each participant 1million naira as starter pack.

Now my question is will 1million be manageable for those who have more than 20 acres of land to start?

Will they decide to live in the forest for 1million not to talk of 750k...just curious.

It was formally manual process.

from what i heard, fadama project is a world bank project in collaboration with federal gvt through CBN.
they allocated 300m to each state with 300 candidates per state,which i believe suppose to go around 1m perhead.
but we are in nigeria. i hope you understand this statement "we are in nigeria"

i think they did the online registration bcoz they know many graduates are more familiar with online process, while local registration may be altered by coordinators doing it.

Nigeria is a developing country, although i must concur to the fact that we have advanced technologically but still, we are far from getting there.
Look what happened with FIRS, FRSC, NPF and the likes.
How did the online processes benefited the masses?
Its a good step ahead anyway, but it still wont stop manipulations.

please are you guys sure of the commencement of training on Sunday? where did you get the information?

Let's wait and watch them

if we don't hear any news till tomorrow, I don't think the training will commence on Sunday because they will expect us to prepare for that

Its already too late. Today is 6th and for a training to commence 9th yet no official notification? I doubt if that timetable is correct.

Please, those of us posting info on this program should try to post the source of their information. So that people won't be misled. Few days ago someone posted a timetable for the training, and when asked of his source, the person went mute.

If the source is not reliable, please do well to state it in your post.
