Police aided robbers!!! There's a spot where police, road safety officers and some other uniformed men converge. These guys are just before that spot. They're usually mobile. Sometimes in an over loaded audi 80( u go fear the kind speed wey that car get) or golf 3 wagon. Some are on motorcycles; all pretending to be fellow commuters. The bike guys will tell u there's a robbery ahead and when u stop they'll all descend on everyone trying to make a "U" turn. When they re done robbing and beating passengers they tell u police is ahead waiting for u.

Even last Thursday, we bought Calculusx sienna and just wanted to risk the bypass to join Benin from the Ajip axis we were warned to turn back. We quietly obeyed. If u're travelling with Mr Gazzuzz u no need to fear that road. His grace is specialcheesy. But I won't risk it. I'd rather wade thru Benin city.

G.Agofure Motors gave their drivers a standing order to Avoid that bypass. Some of them risk it. But as soon as they join the bypass they immediately (codedly) disconnect their speed limiting device. Then dey apologize to passengers in advance, probably explaining that it's too late In d day to penetrate Benin city since they still have the lenghtier part of the Journey to Lagos ahead of them. After that na 140km/h, they won't slow down, dey make dangerous over taking, dey won't even stop at a check point unless they see the police Nissan police pickup branded "safer highways". Incidentally, those ones are hardly ever along that route. Maybe it's just me but if u don't have a 9mm in ur car, don't pass. I can bet Gazzuzz one. Besides the guy is meanly bearded. Dem seff fit dey fear am.

Good to know, but I don't drive slower than 160km/hr so maybe that is a factor in my not having been stopped, and I don't stop because someone flagged me unless I have known you before

I don't pass that route bro. I was compelled to pass last weekend by one rugged Agofure driver. There was no incident. On my way back from Lagos I attempted it and was warned to steer clear.

Sheet goes down there bro. It's just like trying to explain to someone that some part of east west rroad from Mbiama to ahoada isn't very safe at some times of the DAY...not night. Agbaro to Ughelli is becoming a problem too. Tho that's from 9pm or later. They won't strike daily, but those are soft spots. IF U ply those routes frequently u might be inclined to doubt the veracity of such claims.

I'm in doubt already as I have never seen or heard of a daylight robbery in those parts, although, of course, EVERY road is dangerous at night.

Right...quite unfortunately, these things do happen. There's a set of cops along the Ahoada axis. They usually have a Dodge caliber. You may just wanna say hi to em and ask them how tough it gets sometimes.

We don't need to take God's protection for granted. That sure doesn't mean the roads are safe. God is just being merciful.

Welcome back boss, I too jst came back from Kano, had a stop over at okene to spend the sallah, headed to ajaokuta to visit a friend from there to Abuja same day before proceeding to Kano the following day. Only issue I observed my horn stop working. Back in Lagos, return journey was rough cause of bad road at ondo, I had to pass through a foot part deep into the forest to boycott the bad road. Car came back home except dat I have a crack on my padded bumper.
