Hello to all the Gurus in the house,
Please I want to ask if German Universities or government provide scholarship for MSC, which schools /scholarship are they ? and how can I identify them?

Very possible, get yourself a competent private language teach for Monday to Friday intensive tutoring. Will most likely cost twice as more than wasting your time in Goethe.
to be honest,, goethe wastes time a lot. The certificate of participation seems to be d added advantage

DAAD scholarships are mainly for PhD students and note that you must agree to come back to Naija after studies if you take their scholarship.
For Masters, the scholarships are basically specific to the school or even course sometimes and you must have enrolled as a student already.

Please in filling the visa application form, there are certain parts confusing me, such as:
1. Do you intend to maintain your permanent residence outside the federal republic of Germany?
2. I intend to stay no longer than 12 months in the federal territory and apply for a visa that covers the whole duration of my stay (i wonder why this part confuses me).
Any Information on these parts are important. Danke

Thanks a lot Guru,
Is it Just to Enrol and get admission or you begin the payment process then maybe after resumption you seek for scholarship? Danke.

...... And have done at least a semester because many can be academic based while some can be for financial constraints. Either way, when you resume you can talk to your international office to know what scholarship you are qualified for as an African student.

Good morning Nlanders, this thread had been really informative and i've been enlightened a lot.

My question: please can my sponsor's bank statement and a letter from the sponsor (here in Nigeria) be used to book appointment and process a german student visa?

Good morning Nairalanders. For anyone applying for Visa to attend a conference, does the German embassy accept coloured printout of PDF invitation letter or they insist on original invitation letter sent by post.
Thank you all

Yes it is good to obey the law, but in Bremen here almost all African student work more than that, because if you work only 120 full days as stated, your 8040€ will dry up.Remember that 120 full days is only 4months and 450€ is not enough,I think they are keeping blind eye on that in this part of Germany, I dont know of the other part of Germany, those before me here have worked more than that for many years without any invitation. Some Cameroonians, Ghanians and Indians have stayed here for four years doing masters of two years, they do one or two course in a semester and work full time year to year.

What you are saying is true, because one Nigeria guy won a scholarship here and they invited him for an interview and ask him how will they give him the scholarship since he is sending 200€ back home every month, that the scholarship is meant for poor student and they cancel the scholarship. So they know everything about our activities but some time they just keep blind eye.

Hi Chief, after reading your comments i sent you a PM, please I'll like to ask you a few questions about Bremen.

Just tell them you have funded the account but you must provide the confirmation email you got from the bank.

I hope this helps.

pls i booked for visa interview since on 30th of june till now nothing.pls how long does it take pls somebody help

I get your plight,I faced similar ish...resend them a mail by Tuesday morning say between 7.30am-8.30am and do make sure your enrollment deadline doesn't fall around late September cos they are already booked till 17th August and as such you might not gert an appointment.
If your enrollment deadline is by September then seek for an extension from your school before you mail the embassy.

I wish u all d best...

Hi all,

Anyone who recently funded fintiba account should advice with the estimate of the €8729 in naira and d name of bank.

Some banks deal euro @ 414, 410, 405. I heard some deal @ as low as 350.. I'm tryin to get info on which bank is faster and cheaper to go through.

Thanks

For the bachelor's program they do require proof of English proficiency. Don't know about the masters program.

Plus I hope you're aware that they're planning to introduce tuition fees of €1500/semester.
