Its pathetic that the main problem still persist with the Nigeria population... Does anyone see the real blockage here It is not the filts that stopped water from flowing , but the block-headed Nigerians that have refuse to change the culture of dumping dirt indiscriminately. Both the claimed educated and the uneducated are of no difference in such manner. Until we start to behave decently these things will continue to plague the society. It's best one leaves the country for you all to self destruct. ![]() |

Medicine after death. Employ all the swamp buggies available in Lagos to open up already existing canals & waterways to make way for the share volume of water to pass. We submitted proposals 2yrs ago to handle such project, but as expected cos we don't know anybody high up in the Lagos State government, it died prematurely. Now billions of naira worth of property has been destroyed . I hope group of those who lost their properties will institute class action law suit against the government for dereliction of duty. Nonsense. |

Iphone7SPlus:Bro, you can not blame the people at all. All blame falls squarely on the government for constructing open gutters. Let me ask u a question. If you throw empty bottles in your bath tub, will the bottle go into the drain Definitely not right, cause ur bathroom tub has a drain filter. If we want to develop, we should develop well abeg. Even in Europe, people still throw empty bottles on the ground, but these bottles never make their way to the drainage because all the drains are closed and have drain filters. You can not stop humans from littering |

People on this thread keep acting like they can wave a magic wand and stop people from littering. When you draw up designs, you take these things into consideration. Have you ever seen an open gutter anywhere in the U. S Why won't people throw stuff in an open gutter ![]() |

In Lagos we dispose dirt anywhere and everywhere while in Calabar you hold it until you get to the closest waste bin. It is an offence to dispose plastic containers, water sachets etc. on the streets. |
