Lovely, furr keep it up, After I passed corner dawaki I saw the new kanawa economic city, work has started, the gac motor are also in lagos, I guess they Wana get the northern market too, I hope the Tiga hydroelectric dam is still on course, but I noticed the interchange at bata towards yankura market and sabon gari is still far from being completed with slow pace of work, Pls can you fill me in, thanks 11 Likes 1 Share |

arinzeejikonye:Yeah gac r sharp guys they understand market dynamics..... northern auto market r vastly untapped...... as par tiga ....work has reached almost completion level the delay is due to import and order delay from the procurement department...... the latest timeline for completion is November this year.... the interchange at bata to yankura is another political collateral damage from the Ganduje and kwankwaso fallout...... but work is still going on though slowly I most say...... And for kanawa economic city I have no fear cos it's a private initiative with the government owning a small percentage and the company incharge (brains and hammers) are a very reputable company going by their previous projects in Abuja and lagos..... Kanawa economic city 5 Likes |

furrr: Yauwah, Nagode, As for brains and hammers, their estates here in Abuja is top notch and beautiful, multiplexes, duplexes, semi detached, Kwankwaso and ganduje should pls mend the broken bridge, for the sake of development, That interchange is strategically located at the heart of spiner for kano igr, Seems this kofar ruwar underpass, was redesigned, I love this new design even more, than the previous, How far with the black rhino /dangote,, Chinese solar plants, any feasible progress? 4 Likes |
Re: Kano Fdi And Infrastructural Development by furrr(m): 7:32am On Jul 12, 2017 |
arinzeejikonye: Yeah kofar ruwa was redesigned due to its proximity to the airport........ the previous design include destroying and shifting of the airport fence...... for security and obvious reasons it has to be redesigned so as to avoid affecting the aorport....... It's unfortunate that Ganduje is allowing politics to affect the ordinary citizens of kano the interchange in sabon gari kano is going to be the longest flyover at about 3.4 kilometres and it's going to transform the abubakar rimi (sabon gari market) area to a more lively and easy to access commercial area....but I just hope he completes it within his tenure.... The black rhino and dangote deal has suffered some set back..... as dangote is focusing more on his refinery in lagos....... but there is some inside report from the concluded kano economic summit that emir sunusi is woeing some investors to replace dangote part of the deal..... notable among them is GE...... the solar project I mentioned earlier is not part of the black rhino deal...... 6 Likes |

furrr: Now I clearly get the picture, Sanusi is trying with his wooing, That ado bayero estates, hope it is strongly course?, I won't blame dangote for his divestment, he got an ambitious and ambiguous project in the lekki ftz, But I will like to know if he finally completed that Massive hospital he began? Thanks mutumina 2 Likes |
Re: Kano Fdi And Infrastructural Development by furrr(m): 7:49am On Jul 12, 2017 |
arinzeejikonye:The ado bayero estate is actually completed As it's just land..... not buildings the company just provided infrastructure like roads hospital and school Well dangote ambition is what made dangote thankfully there is no shortage of investment from other sources Dangote hospital is still under construction as with the dangote business school in buk it's taking a very slow pace...... I got picture of the site as at march this year 1 Like 1 Share

furrr: That's wonderful, buk is on steroids, the vast expansion is something else, I just hope Kwankwaso - ganduje political fallout didn't affect the north west University, I saw dangote's tomato plant, it is massive, but looked desolate, How far the kano light rail project within the metropolis 2 Likes |
Re: Kano Fdi And Infrastructural Development by furrr(m): 8:05am On Jul 12, 2017 |
arinzeejikonye: You have to visit buk new site to appreciate the level of work...... Northwest university (now maitama sule university) construction is going on just fine.... Dangote tomato factory is closed at the moment due to the tomato 'ebola' disease of last year tomato season..... but there is hope it will be open next year when dangote tomato farm in jigawa is ready .... Kano light rail project will start early next year with the construction of the first line from dawanau to bata then from kwanan dawaki to bata then from jogana to bata then from janguza to bata.......... as you can see all roads lead to bata.... 2 Likes

furrr: I once stayed in gezawa, Jogana to be precise, I do see the old railway line, it is still very much active, I guess this new light rail project will follow the same route too as the old, Gezawa got many industrial clusters, I did my research, but I wish the kano government can intervene to help increase the allowance and pay of the factory workers, it is too meagre in this recessive economic crunch, Towards hadeja road to jigawa state I noticed a Polo resort, the government can expand and modernize it for tourism, Also I observed many trucks laden with live stock-cows especially are transported down south, they pass almost every minute, I wonder where they are bred, A. A Rano is really expanding in leaps and bounds, I don't know if he still gets his oil from niger, 1 Like |
Re: Kano Fdi And Infrastructural Development by furrr(m): 8:34am On Jul 12, 2017 |
arinzeejikonye: Wow jogana... there is plan in the coming 2018 budget to extend the hadejia dual carriage road to jogana due to new and old industrial and residential expansion of kano Yeah the light rail will follow the old route with some deviations to adjust for today's urbanisation realities..... Well gezawa has a lot of company clusters e.g jogana, tokarawa, gunduwawa etc The problem with wages and allowances is a nationwide problem...... even the fedral government still pays 18k as salary Yeah the cows come from jigawa and the northeast precisely yobe state and some of them come from as far as Chad and maiduguri...... while most are taken down south there is a growing demand here in kano too due to the population surge in the urban areas of kano AA Rano is a special breed of business man.... there is an unconfirmed scoop that he is planing along side a Chinese investor to build a private rifenery in kaduna....... to take advantage of the new oil pipeline from niger |

furrr: Hakane, Gaskiya the government is on point in that direction, There is equally a massive health facility, on that gezawa - hadeja roads towards minjibir Junction, I wish it could be completed, I saw bua cement depot, he seems to be expanding it, My sincere condolences on the demise of Dan misinan kano, the mouth piece of the talakawas, The fertilizer projects in kano how far 1 Like |
