Be honest, how many of you posting on this thread jumping up-and-down have applied for N-Power and are hanging-on the platform for latest updates. The Financial Times is doing what it does best, general analysis without breaking down the issues. The same publication will describe Nigeria's economy recovery as 'unexpected' when it happens. You are not worth debating with if you are in Nigeria and need a foreign paper to tell you the fundamentals of the economy, why it ran aground and how and why it should recover. |

ddippset:Did the militants suddenly start blowing pipelines? When he(pmb) felt it was best to cut out their pacifiers kept in place by yar adua(bless his soul) and use the funds to further buttress frivolent expenditures, why won't they react? He brought it upon himself. At least it wasn't some propaganda like B.H. "He who brings ant infested woods home, should be ready to entertain his lizard guests". |

ddippset:The summary of what the author wrote is wrote: no Policy to make gains of the economic crisis. ...... it takes idea to make money not money and this government has got no idea how to grow the economy beyond mundane discourse and rhetorics ... Dangote once diplomatically made same statement when he said, the business community wants amongst other things , a policy they can study and follow .... you can't know the problem about our contraction more than the guy. Nigeria grew in spite of corruption not without it during the 80s , 90s , and the new millennium until now .... |

maclatunji:Dont mind them, as if diversification is something that happens overnight. Where is the funds to invest that can make it happen overnight? And this is even in view of our very heavy recurrent expenditure that cannot be wished away just like that. If you read the actual article that I just uploaded before your comment, you'll see that the article though critical of Buhari was not as bad as reported by 'The Cable'. The areas which seemingly credited the current Administration was cropped out by 'The Cable'. |

ddippset:Idiot and zombies spotted, always in to defend Buhari incompetence, selfishness, power drunkenness. it is fools like you that sees truth and go to extreme length to upturn the truth. l belief you must be a Muslim and lo l'm not surprised when some verses of your Korea encourage you to lie in the face of conspicuous truth. How can you still be convinced that Buhari had or has better agenda for the upliftment of the life of the average Nigeria, pre-election and post-election. what stops Buhari from resigning and handing over office to that short Osinbjo or whatever he is called. Yet idiots of your ilk will come out to talk or type rubbish to defend a failure called Buhari. l wish you and your family the same current state that Buhari has plunge this country into where the gap between the rich and poor keep growing wide instead of the opposite. Hence you keep supporting failure, stagnancy and backwards, you shall receive a manifold of it in due course. |

elda2303:sorry, maybe some of us are in the dark, can you please tell us one of his investment you know? point of correction our president. And I want to make it clear to you that I don't belong to any party neither am I a fan of any politician I only judge things the way I see it without any religious, ethnic or tribal bigotry which I believe 90% of naralanders do. Remember we are all human beings and are bound to make mistakes which is subject to be corrected, therefore we should stop criticizing someone who is battling with ailments and blame ourselves for the country's failure because we all contributed in one way or the other whether we like it or not the truth is always bitter. |

michoim:Well...that's good news...but it would be MUCH better if we used the rice and yam to invent products that we could sell for higher profit. We cannot be a continuous exporter of raw materials and food crops. Because when the prices of the raw material you sell go down....all the benefits go down too. |

[quote author=whirlwind7 post=58414471]Fact. A fact so obvious to anyone with half a brain, you will have to wonder why his online asslickers, especially here on NL could still summon the courage and shamelessness to support an intellectually bereft relic. You'd think they didn't know how woefully he performed in 1984. It was Tunde Idiagbon who actually did all the job, while Bubu, as the military head of state, took all the glory. Pardon him for he knows absolutely zilch about running any economy. What about his anti corruption and anti terrorism crusade? If he doesn't have the foggiest idea of demand and supply and market economy, what about his so called integrity that wouldn't permit any thieving politician or any deranged jihadist to walk free? all people lik yu knw hw to do best is blow grammer .... if yu ar given d presidential sit yu wil fail @ -0.5% |

Sylva2147:What rubbish are you spitting? Among the past presidents, how many contested for the position as much as Buhari did? Which one of them went about it like his very life depended on it? Why am I even responding to your pointless crap? Is it now a matter of what I myself could do? I am not contesting, and not everyone of us would become a president. Since Bubu has proven to be a failure, plus his ill health further incapacitating him, why can't he just resign and let's have a breather? Don't quote me if you got nothing meaningful to say. |

Sylva2147:There was noting tribal or remotely religious about the post... Since he has come back to redeem himself; Score him...? Guess there's no president like him we can as well give him another chance to correct this set of mistakes that's if he has made any in your view. The blame is enough to go round but the point is he wasn't elected for us to blame ourselves it so he can come up with ideas 2 help us with our mistakes like u said & of which he is yet to do.. His ailment is a redundant excuse if he is sick or hiding because he is bereft of ideas he knows what to do & he would be seen as a Great Statesman. So this has noting to do with tribe or religion I could careless about that. |
