So it's only natural for the to be swept off their feet by religious teachings. What about the arguments about educational settings,all still boils down to the type of school. A nursing school will naturally have a higher number of students. Same with engineering schools. The males will dominate in such school. But generally, males are more in the society than the females. You can attest to this by the number of attention females get. If actually females are more than us then getting a girlfriend or wife shouldn't really be a herculean task. Even the girl that finally agrees to date you or marry you have about three to four options before finally deciding to settle for you. In a nutshell, we plenty pass women. Don't let anyone tell you otherwise.

This argument I've made before. Naturally the birth ratio of men are greater than womens' but also by nature, the males are more likely to have health issues.

From the mid twenties, women have a higher population due to the fact that the males are involved in a lot more risks. Men fight most of the wars, most of the radioactive substances, men are just involved in a lot more other violence leading to a faster reduction in their population.

So just know the the females are slightly ahead.

You are right. But the thing is this, women will only settle for a man they perceived as being the best. Hence it is important to note that those brick layer and carpenter you mentioned might seem wealthy and the best option to such women. As a matter of fact, not everyone agrees with the choice of husband of most women. It really depends on where you are coming from and the level of exposure. In the case of the above examples, it's really a question of the exposure of such women to think that a carpenter and a brick layer is so rich for them to be his second wife. Like I said, it's really a matter of exposure.

Depends on the department. Some faculties and departments have higher girl ratio to guy's. Same reason Faculty of engineering have higher boy ratio to girls.

Thanks for the careful explanation. That was really kind of you. But the truth is, are we fighting war every day? Even with the insurgents in the north I don't think it enough to bring the number of males on equal with that of the females. Secondly, I agree with the risk part. Not completely though. Cos taking a risk is on individual basis. Not collective. So I don't think a male taking a risk should really affect the population of the whole sex. Same thing with the hazardous exposure to harmful chemicals in working environment. But the scale at which these things happen are very small compare to the disparity in the ratio of males to females.
