For those that are relocating by August or September,I have a one bedroom apartment @ the centre of calgary,2mins walk from Bow valley college, close to SAIT and U of C and the monthly rent is reasonable.Happy landing in advance

Bro, kindly clarify location; from Bow Valley to UofC is about 7.8km and that is 12 mins drive or 33 mins on the train. Thanks

Thanks for the comment @temitope03 I will start the EE this week. I am grateful

temitope06:

Jeez dude, why are you trying to leave tho? You're 29 and earn 550k monthly with a lot of experience under ur belt and u wanna leave that for what? If this was my situation, o boy, f**k Canada o. Anyways my advice is forget that MSc bros, apply for PR straight. Even when u get it, go for a short landing, come back and continue working. After 2 and a half years start applying for jobs in Canada. Then move finally. Better don't complicate ur situation cos u wan comot naija by force. U got it good o.

Thanks @MrOba

I deferred the admission from last fall 2016 to fall 2017. Would confirm if the school is willing to defer again.
MrOba:
Hi,

I think you should consider deferring the admission till next year if that is a possibility.

Then you can start processing the express entry now. You can always do your Masters once you are in Canada as a PR.

You won't have any issues at all... You are not getting any points for it.

fadedayo:
Hello all.

My wife and I are about to get into the EE pool and she is the primary applicant.

Where they asked for my work experience, I filled "none" as getting reference from my employers may be tricky, plus I am not the primary applicant and will not be claiming points for employment.

Seniors, please what is the implication of this. I hope I've not shot myself in the foot.

Thank you.

Hi guys, please for those that used IQAS, how long did it take them to acknowledge receipt of your transcript sent by the institution. Mine is taking forever and I can't even call or send a mail to enquire.
Re: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program Connect Here by Kyaggy(f): 11:26pm On Jul 16, 2017
Not necessarily the finger print forms but maybe the final PCC!!

But first please check cic website, check the PCC section for the exact procedure on how to get Nigerian PCC according to your country of residence.....it is different for Nigerians resident abroad.

Who knows, this might have been the cause of rejection but maybe not...?..Might just be the overzealousness of vo!! (but he can back his reason up, because the rules are on their site).

I say this because, for those of us in middle east for example, we are expected to send our pcc to Naija and upon return, attest it at the Nigerian Embassy.(it's written like this for Nigerians in UAE, OMAN! SAUDI Arabia, KUWAIT etc).
Now most of us here don't even attest anything because the Nigerian embassies here are very slow like the president, but we fortunately get away with it! My friends didnot attest and got PPR.... (Not heard of Nigerians rejected for this before but indians and Pakistanis have got rejection for this reason).

Well even though we cant state categorically if this was your case, I advise that this time, you attest the pcc after getting it, with the Nigerian embassy in your country of residence, if its required.

Lastly, what format did you get it? Was it scanned to you? That would have been okay if you wanna submit directly without attestation.
But if you plan attestation with Nigerian embassy (recommended), then let them courier the pcc to you in its original form!

NB: I even did a similar gamble with my pcc and praying for God's favour......God help us

Please has anyone staying in the Middle East done PCC?

Please how did you go about it? We are planning to get from alagbon when we will be in Lagos hopefully next month.. Will that be acceptable?
Somebody help please!!
Guru in the house please!!
I seriously need guideline please!!

Good day house.

This is my first post here, I have tried to read through earlier pages of this thread, you'll have been doing a great job here.

I need clarification to ascertain if I can apply for EE. Below is my profile:

I am 29 years old and single

I recently got study permit for a two years master's program (Control Systems) at University of Alberta in Canada to commence 5th of September 2017.

I am currently working in a multinational manufacturing company here in Nigeria and recently got an outstanding appraisal report that sees my pay upto NGN 550K monthly.

I have four years experience in the field of Control Systems (Automation Engineer and Instrumentation Engineer in two household name multinational firms).

If I go for the masters I would sponsor myself, and the cost is quite high. But with a PR the cost would drastically reduce.

Now the questions:

Is it possible to start the application for EE entry while I am already in Canada? (As I plan to get my transcript sent to WES before leaving for the masters program)

would you advise based on the experience of those already in Canada, I quit my job for the masters with the hope of securing a PR and good job over there?

Please do a self research of the opportunities in the field of Automation Engineer and Instrumentation Engineer in Canada and what you need , also please start processing the PR thou i think the score is not low anymore but please start.

You can also go after the uni but defer for a year Work is better than MSC.

@Monique2002 Please what is the update on your friend that was refused uk visa and currently on the pool. Please give update on because in her shoe.

hallly:
I strongly recommend that she declares it and attach an LOE as you have suggested. Although I am not sure Canada does info sharing with UK (they do with US). It would result in misrepresentation and some years ban if they get to find out. This could impact her chances of getting visas to other countries.

A lot of people of people have being rejected various visas in the past and still got Canadian PR. However, if she has a ban from the UK, it might be challenging.

IQAS didn't acknowledge receipt of my transcript. I had written a mail to my institution telling them to prepare another package, only for me to receive my ECA that night. So I dont think you should panic, it's been sorted. What uni are you sending the transcript from? and how did they send it, regular mail or courier?

Farefare:

Im not so sure theres any need to hurry. Her ITA is fresh so she still has well over two months. I say this bcz i did a CSE over 20 busineas days ago but am yet to receive an acknowledgment from CIC and the uncertainty is killing. With d mind playing ping pong. Im asking myself Will it be seen on time before BG?

@baby84 wait out the two weeks. U may be anxious now, but trust me u are better off submitting every document at once.

A letter of explanation could help. Worse case, they will ask for it when need be.

Hi Tope,

You do realise that for some people leaving isn't about what they earn or how comfortable their lives here is?Some people just want to be able to live and raise their kids in a saner society even if this means they will have to reduce their standard of living or earn less which I think might just be for awhile especially if you are realistic about your expectations, hard work always pays off in the end so life may not be so rosy as you relocate but eventually it will pay off.

Secondly considering the uncertainties surrounding our country which has always surrounded it anyways people want to create other options for themselves and their children born or unborn,After all the president Senate president holds another passport,The one agitating for separation of the Country holds another passport and has his wife and kids safely tucked away in a sane society,Our president who didn't have money to buy party ticket during the elections his children all school or schooled in the UK,What of the Oga at the top himself? He has been Intheabroad receieving medical care.Bayelsa State Governor his wife gave birth a few months ago Intheabroad the child holds another passport.I could go on and on

Most people who have lived outside of this Country will agree that it was a struggle to come home, some didn't the beauty of life and the power of choice.

We all have personal preference and some of us will not stay in Naija no matter what we were offered as salary.

The second half of your advice was a great one which buttress my point that there is nothing to loose by creating other options for one's self, considering his profile it's a win win situation for him.
Cheers

Hi - it is very necessary. I was asked to submit mine (this was during my IP2 stage). So, I'll advise you send it to them - scanned copy of the front and back of the BRP card.

All the best!

freeradical:
I think the fact that only one draw was done in June helped speed up the current processing of eAPRs. June AORs are especially lucky as they seem to be benefiting most due to d speed at which their files have moved. If this momentum is improved or sustained I see most June AORs getting PPR in 8weeks or less.

Another theory I have to explain dis new trend could be that maybe there is an executive order to give more priority to FSW-outland applications over other streams. CEC stream used to have the fastest processing time but now it takes at least 2 months for them to even pass medicals. A lot of CEC applicants are seriously complaining to CIC because they are used to faster processing times but the response from CIC to them is not to expect medicals passed in less than 2 months. On the other hand I got medicals passed in just 23 days post AOR and several other FSW-OUTLAND applicants as well.

Probably the govt needs the influx of fresh economic migrants over those already inland. Imagine the amount of money we are going to carry to Canada as POF and what it will do to their economy. Then in the long run comes the real value which is our skills and how we will impart positively on the nation's production of goods and services. Everybody wins in the end. These are really interesting times.

May God bless our Canada dreams.

Ameennnnnnnn.....Congrats to all the PPRs in the house..I'm excited as I know We All going to share our goodness in this journey.

So sorry to hear this. The police report is actually for any country in which you've spent a cumulative of six months in total from different travel periods...not six months straight in one journey.
I'll suggest you start working on the US police report immediately and concurrently work on getting back into the pool by creating another profile.

I know this is extremely heartbreaking but don't be discouraged. It would all end in praise by God's grace.

So sorry to see this! I know how disheartening it can be.

Please apply for US PCC immediately, I don't rily have info on it but you can google FBI PCC for details or maybe scroll through the thread. I'm sure someone has written about it.

451 is really good so once you have d PC, u can rush back in the pool and I'm sure u'd qualify for the next ITA.

Take care
