Ayeni Adekunle is the founder and CEO of BHM Group, a media company under which popular brands like NET and BlackHouse Media are subsidiaries.

Often referred to as Ayeni The Great, he is a Pan-Africanist to the core. This philosophy reflects in many elements of the BHM Group identity.

For example, the name ‘BlackHouse’ is inspired by one his favourite Yoruba proverbs — Inú ìkòkò dúdú l’èko funfun ti n’jade — which roughly translates to “it is from the black pot that the pure white pap is made”. The “black pot” here refers to Africa which he believes holds the key to the future.

Morin is the head of Luxury at Facebook and Instagram where she manages Facebook and Instagram’s global luxury client partnerships. Prior to landing her current role, she was the business lead to the VP Global Marketing Solutions.

She holds a BA and MA from Stanford University in Human Biology and sociology and an MA in Management from Columbia University.

Morin speaks 5 languages and has lived in three different continents. She joined Facebook when it was a small startup of 200 people.

Remi is the head of B2C product marketing of YouTube, Sub-Saharan Africa; he was formerly the head of B2C product Marketing, Nigeria at Google.

He holds two degrees; a BSc in Architectural studies, and an MBA from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign and Howard University respectively.

He studied Architecture at the University of Illinois and studied Marketing three years after at Howard. He has over 10 years of experience in designing and constructing innovative and collaborative tech office spaces.

Bayodele is the Product Manager- Chrome and Android at Google, North America. Prior to joining Google, Bayodele was the design, planning and optimization lead at Ericsson. He also previously worked at Celtel and Zain Nigeria and also at Huawei Technologies Nigeria.

He studied mechanical engineering at Obafemi Awolowo University. He holds an MBA, business administration and project management from the Manchester Business School.

Bunmi is the head of Brand, Reputation and Digital skills, sub-Saharan Africa at Google where she leads a team that drives the company’s effort to equip millions of SMEs with Digital skills for jobs and business growth.

She started her career at Google as the Head of SMB marketing, Google Nigeria. She is an alumnus of the University of Toronto where she majored in Psychology and Biology.

Ventures Platform



While it’s not the first technology hub to emerge within the federal capital territory, Ventures Platform, nonetheless, has become a standard for setting up a technology incubation facility.

Ventures Platform was founded by Kola Aina on the 3rd of June to serve as a launchpad for technology innovators solving Africa’s biggest challenges. Since commencing operations, Ventures Platform has played a critical role not just in the development of the Abuja technology ecosystem but in Nigeria at large.

CcHub is widely credited for putting a physical location to what is commonly referred to as the technology ecosystem in Nigeria. Little wonder it was Facebook founder, Mark Zuckerberg’s first stop during his visit to Nigeria.

It remains Nigeria’s first open lab and pre-incubation space. The hub is designed to be a multi-functional, multi-purpose space where creative social tech ventures are catalysed. Not only that, it has become a go-to place for technologists, social entrepreneurs, government, tech companies, impact investors and hackers in and around Lagos to meet and co-create new solutions to the many social problems in Nigeria.

The CcHub was birthed by Bosun Tijani and Femi Longe with a $200,000 and $45,000 grant provided by the Omidyar Network and Indigo Trust respectively.
