Ha please o! I'm mere mortal, in God ONLY should you trust.

Anyway, i feel priviledged to help with your SOP review. Good you still have time before you apply, feel welcome to send me a PM, i'll respond as soon as i get it.

Regards

@thesoj I am new here and I have read all ur comment on Canadian travel visa forum. Please I want to kindly request your help to receive my SOP. I applied for study permit March 22 2017 and got the refusal letter in May 29 2017. Although, I initially did not write an SOP because it was not part of the document in the checklist to apply. I intend to study a PGC in Paralegal. I have a BSc in international law and Diplomacy from Nigeria, LLB and LLM from UK. Please kindly reply.

Thanks.

Kind regards.

Hey. I think in my opinion since you have an llm which is a masters degree in law you should try and go for a PhD instead not a PGD which is a lower degree. That's just my opinion

Nawa for you sha.

I studied Business Management (which offered Human resources as an In-course).

Now I want to further in same Business Administration & mgt majoring in Human resources as other options were Marketing, Finance and Accounting.

So what did you think went wrong? How is it different from my previous background?

Do you think someone would just major in medicine without choosing either Surgery or Radiology?

I explained my reason for a PGD and why HRM in my SOP.

Abeg I fit beat you now ooooo
embarassed
So sorry for the delay mate. I personally do not think your choice of course is the reason for delay. I feel it's the class of degree. I want to believe you have some years of experience which should qualify you for a masters degree in administration with hrm your major. Kindly look for schools that offers your course at masters level and get a referee from your place of work and carefully outline your duties in ur resume.

What a sad night on this forum. 3 delays in quick succession. God will intervene

Mehn, IRCC today though! Make everybody calm down small. Nothing spoil. Things will always be surmontable.

To those that got delayed, i can understand the feel but you will need to cool off alittle. The outcome of the application is emotionally traumatising in itself already. While we re-strategize for a better re-application. I'll advice you stop further addressing of the refusal. Take a day or two to allow the process of going through the emotions (which is normal for any human faced with such issue), try to forget what went wrong or not. The next step should be the center point which i will suggest ordering of GCMS note ASAP. You will feel better after few days and especially when we don't dwell so much on what might have gone wrong.

We go still put one or two things that was missing together and everything will be fine soon. Certainly not the end of things. Just a little challenge that will be addressed soon. Nothing spoil.

Please, let's all just relax and leave further posts about what we all think till the GCMS file is out. This is my opinion though, anybody can suggest differently. I'm still una boy!

I support your notion sir.

Pg cert and pg diploma is basically same.

In canny , you can get a good job with pg cert. The system in canny isn't degree based like u.s. what matters is to be good in what you do.

And yes if you want to further. You can get an msc with 3rd class and pgd.

@chybaz, msc with 3rd class really possible? Any reference in terms of School and course please? Thanks a lot.

I strongly believe you will need to get a PGD or PGC. Make a soung cgpa, then apply for masters. But in canny bsc, pgd , msc. are rated same in plc(s)/private firms. Main thing is know ur stuff. Show that u are very good at what you do. Make a sound grade in PGD,get a good job, then you can later register MSC part time while u work. If you register for MSC after u get PR. Ur tuition will be very affordable as that of a cannynite.

Also u can apply for MSC with a third class. Do ur google research right. Impossible is nothing.

These all depends on ur plans and budget.

It seems these VOs are just randomly denying without concrete reasons.

Three denials here in one day for reasons that doesn't really matter....

I am so provoked.

@ all that responded to my posts....i appreciate.

To all the hopefuls, I wish you the best.

To all the delayed....its not the end of the world.

Mehn, this is sad.
Sorry about these derel. I know how it feels I swear.

It is possible what u said, about random denial. It happened to me once at Walter Carrigton
God that sees ur efforts knows He wants to bless you.
It will end in praise.

Keep pursuing and apply again. U can also follow EE route as well. Try also to register for budget-friendly PGD or one year MSC in a good school around u in naija. So u have the option of PhD too.(PhD seems to have very few delay and quick processing time).
You know in all these you need prayers as well.

God has a reason for everything, he may be helping you avoid an unforseen wahala or planning something bigger for you.
Take ur self out. Eat some suya, have some drink. And just let it go. Cos sometime in future you will testify.

(I also write this to all yesterday delays)

God bless

Most of the recently refused study visa applicants qualify for express entry. Don't waste your money and emotions on study visa route.

If you have a bsc+3 years experience or master degree+1 year experience or HND+1 year experience, you are qualified for Express entry. NYSC experience can count as the one year, as well as any part time paid employment during your UG program, so long it matches the employees they seek. Even self employment counts with proof.

Currently, With Express entry, you can get permanent resident permit in 6 months, rather than wait a whole year to package for study, or choose a course that doesn't perfectly align with and a progress from your previous program. Be wise!

In fact I am angry and irritated by recent avoidable refusals. I strongly recommend that Everybody on this thread should join the express entry thread below now, and read from page 0. If you don't qualify now, you will later after study or at least one of your family members, with low CGPA that can't get scholarship, will do.

It is easier and less expensive. Just join below thread and read from page 0. Don't bump in with questions and look stupid.
