Haba, Weedtaker shey you take weed ni? (pun intended) Person do like that for friendly match you say make I no talk.

And I was only addressing Elampiro who considers Val25 a captain material.

Prospective captains no dey do like that. Val25 sometimes can be very hot tempered, to the detriment of the team. How can you commit such a senseless harsh tackle in a friendly match? If you're concerned about something complain to the referee, don't try to end someone else's career.

Is that the behavior you want him to hand out to TFM and other young players?

Only hotheads like Ramos would do such.
Zidane is saying hi too grin

I won't bat an eyelid if the match was a UEFA knockout stage game, or if it was in the premier league. For someone others are looking up to, it was reckless to make such tackles IN A FRIENDLY GAME and get sent off for it.

I thought friendly games were glorified training sessions. Or are there some trophies handed out after winning friendly games?
Player A makes a reckless challenge in a friendly match and got red carded. He has no history of red cards in competitive matches.

Player B commits needless fouls and gets red carded against Chelsea in a high profile game which cost the team the match.

Which is preferable? Player A or B?

Which behaviour? Terry, Gerrard, Kean were all sent off several times. Even Vidic

Neither. I actually prefer pllayer C.

If it's a friendly game there's no point of collecting a red card as you won't win a trophy. Player A should maintain his lane, nothing is at stake.

If player B gets red carded for a meaningless foul in a competitive game then it's even worse.

Player C is the kind of player that takes one for the team. If he gets red carded in the process of preventing the opponent from scoring in a competitive game then it's okay.

Player A is Valencia against Salt Lake, 2017 friendly game. Player B is Smalling against Man City, 2014 league match. Player C is Suarez against Ghana, 2010 World Cup.

For the record I don't even care who is made Captain or not but I'm just not comfortable when people try to score cheap points in places or areas they shouldn't.

Carrick is our captain for this new season by the way.

please how does this one incident define him? Just because of one intentional rash tackle, he suddenly isn't captain material

Roy Keane comes to mind

This football break is a real bastard, so you guys don't have anything to say than to be arguing about real nd fake red cards huh?
Ok since it's a friendly game why do they score then, why do dy appoint ref to officiate the game? they should just pass the ball around the centre circle with no ref for 90min then every jack shakes hands, hugs then head back home...
Abeg make season start make person stop to dy see some kind rubbish here.

Why do we even waste time with slowpokes who just jump out from the blue to spill junk? Someone will just come out to say bring United, we beat them in 2 finals. Our next match isn't against barca, we are not even meeting them in any competitive tournament yet. What a waste of Cyberspace!
