dobeespen:Wow! This is what I suggest you do; 1)Write a well composed email to the international office and explain your situation 2)Find the name of your program coordinator on the website of your department. Call him to plead for a Skype /phone interview. 3)Pray/hope for a direct admission without interview. 1 Like |

Pushas: Thank you so much. I'll do 1 and 2. I'm not so sure about 3 because I currently have 75 points but I need 88 for direct admission. Though I realized they made an error with my GPA and I emailed them to correct it, so I'm waiting to hear from them. So if they change the GPA it might boost my points up for direct admission. Thanks again. Will do that. 2 Likes |

I taught you have been booked for interview. Writing student service gives generalized answers. Interviews are conducted via Skype or Phone for international students. They have assessed your transcript and will see if there's any error there. dobeespen: 2 Likes

donkafor: Thought I had been given one as well. Only for me to call them and they're saying the lady who put me for July 28 gave me an in-person interview even when she told me it was a Skype interview. |

Seems you have enough money to be calling Germany regularly. Once you are booked, you will given every detail via email. Emailing Student Service regularly too will cause confusion. Seems you are the one shifting your interview dates. dobeespen: |

dobeespen:You once said a lady agreed to shift your date to improve the probability of using TUM admit letter for interview. It appears she gave you a slot same period as German applicants...and these people are expected to appear in person... You have to clarify with her...get a date for international applicants. Maybe you would have to use EBS for your interview. Good luck 4 Likes |

Hello afternoon |
Re: General German Visa Enquiries Part 3 by dobeespen: 3:23pm On Jul 19, 2017 |
UncleJudax: Exactly. But the catch is even if I change the date, I will still have to be interviewed in person, according to what they told me. So I've decided to just apply for my visa with ESB. I'm just a tad concerned that they might ask me to pay the €1,500 tuition fee to be issued a visa. Even if that happens, my admission packet requires that I pay the tuition after I get to Germany because I have to submit other documents as well for enenrollment, so I think that might add to my advantage during my interview. Thank you for your input. |

dobeespen: Get your visa and come to ESB if other options are unfavourable.....Then you can transfer to other school of your choice later on. Buh na the 1500k go dey painful sha |
Re: General German Visa Enquiries Part 3 by Ifedee06: 3:51pm On Jul 19, 2017 |
dobeespen: You might not have to worry about them asking you to pay the €1500 because I got a place in a private school where I have to pay quite a bit and I was concerned as to how this might affect the blocked account so I wrote to the consulate. I was told that the payment of tuition or not is between the school and I and the consulate is only interested in having the required amount to cover living expenses in the blocked account. 5 Likes |

Hi everybody, This page was suggested to me by some good people . My friend just gained admission into university of Bremen, she wants to come to Germany with her 6 months old baby. She already got an appointment for her visa interview but the issue is; the embassy is not willing to treat herself and her child together. They are treating them separately. They told her to do her interview and then apply for a reunion visa for her baby after she is in Germany. This means she can't enter with her baby even after providing proof of extra funds for her baby (apart from the blocked account). Is anyone familiar with this type of situation? What are the necessary steps to take if u want to study in Germany with your baby? Danke im Voraus! |

zizytd:Most schools in Germany are very good, the quality of the programmes in partcular might differ. Chemintz, Zwikau all in Saxony....... without a command of the German language, it might be hard to hold down a job, its best you try to contact Nigerian students in the city already. Holiday jobs however are very possible. I can only vouch for Leipzig and Dresden in that state. However, cost of living is definitely veeeery low. so, there you have it. Try to identify with NSIG (Nigerian Scholars In Germany) in the zone your city falls within, you might get useful information. 3 Likes |

UncleJudax: I might. If I'm issued a visa before September 15 (which is the last date for interview with international students) I'll go to Munich for the interview. If not I'll spend a semester as ESB and then transfer to TUM. |

Tihaby:This is quite new, usually, they would allow one with a baby to apply together once you can provide enough funds. I sense the visa officer handling the case might be missing a vital piece of information. May be there were other information she added that made them take this decision. she could first explain that she is not confident leaving her possibly nursing baby behind. |

My friend in church has applied to a school in Germany and is expecting a feedback soon. But he has a German Friend who is willing to offer him a Letter of obligation for his visa (to replace the bank account stuff). He asked me if his friend giving him the Formal Letter will still be asked to pay the blocked account money eventually... i told him no, but just to be sure, can someone confirm for me or otherwise?? Will the German be made to pay any monies? 1 Like 1 Share |
